Finola Hughes Makes Directorial Debut with Tonight’s ‘Good Trouble’

"General Hospital" star Finola Hughes set to make directorial debut with the Wednesday, January 29 episode of Freeform's "Good Trouble."

If you happen to be a fan of Freeform’s “Good Trouble,” or you’re tuning in for the first time, the Wednesday, January 29 episode of the series just so happens to have been directed by “General Hospital’s” Finola Hughes (Anna Devane).

Hughes received her official Directors Guild of America (DGA) membership card as a result of her directing work at the Freeform series. ” I cannot tell you how proud I am to be a new member! I have many people to thank for making this happen,” said the actress upon receiving her membership card. She appeared this past weekend at the DGA Awards alongside her former onscreen “GH” daughter, Kimberly McCullough (ex-Robin Scorpio).

A spinoff of “The Fosters,” “Good Trouble” centers on the Adams Foster children, Callie (Maia Mitchell) and Mariana (Cierra Ramirez), as they navigate their young adult lives in the mecca of youth, Los Angeles.

In the episode entitled “Daylight,”  Callie and Jamie’s (Beau Mirchoff) relationship is tested by a case. Mariana’s position at Speckulate is threatened. Malika has a new opportunity that could be jeopardized by her legal issues. Davia faces the unintended consequences of her behavior.

“Good Trouble” airs Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Freeform. Hughes has promised to live-tweet during the east coast airing. You can follow along with her using #GoodTrouble and following the official @GoodTrouble handle.
