Corday Productions Launching ‘Days of our Lives: The Digital Series’

Corday Productions launches a complimentary digital series to "Days of our Lives" that will follow the adventures of Chad and Abigail (aka "Chabby").

In a first for daytime television, NBC’s “Days of our Lives” will launch an online companion series that will feature expanded storylines encompassing the adventures of some of its most popular characters. Entitled “Days of our Lives: The Digital Series,” the first season, which launches Thursday, August 1 exclusively on The DOOL APP, will star Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi as the popular “Chabby” duo (aka: Chad DiMera and Abigail Deveraux) as fans follow their lives in Paris.

Since leaving Salem several months ago, Chad and Abby have reconnected in Paris and now fans will be able to catch up with the characters and see what they’ve been up to before their official return to the United States later this fall on the broadcast show.

Written by “DAYS” head writer Ron Carlivati, the eight-episode story arc, titled “Chad and Abby in Paris,” will include the return of actor Austin Peck to the Salem Universe. The character is said to have been spending time in Europe alongside Carrie Brady (Christie Clark) for more than a year. Carrie will not appear in the digital series, however. Austin last appeared on the broadcast series in February 2017. Also joining the cast is daytime newcomer Rachele Schank who has signed on to play the newly created character of Juliet. The actress has appeared in such shows as “Legion” and “Lucifer.”

“This new scripted digital series was created to complement storylines while enhancing the viewers experience as they watch the broadcast show,” said Greg Meng, co-executive producer of “Days of our Lives.” “The DOOL App serves as our platform for delivering this and other original content to fans who want an interactive and multimedia experience as well as a way to stay connected to the show. ‘Days’ has been a leader when it comes to innovation, going as far back as 1965 when we were the first to broadcast in color.”
