Just when you thought you saw the last of Chad DiMera and Abigail Deveraux (aka: “Chabby”) it was recently announced that actors Billy Flynn and Kate Mansi are set to return to NBC’s “Days of our Lives” as the popular duo later this fall!
Announced on the DOOL App during all the glitz and glamour of “The 46th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” Flynn hit the red carpet and teased that while his character may have left Salem, “he may be back, you never know!” while talking with Soap Opera Network on the red carpet.
Flynn had been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal. Mansi was nominated for Oustanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series for her return as Abigail, following the departure of Marci Miller, who had been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Mansi won for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal in 2017.
While the soap had been filming six months ahead in recent years, according to executive producer Ken Corday following Emmy wins for ‘DAYS’ at the Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, the series is now eight months ahead and is gearing up to shoot the annual Christmas episodes.
