Daytime Alum Daniel Cosgrove Lands Role in Lifetime Drama

Daniel Cosgrove ("All My Children," "Days of our Lives," "Guiding Light") has landed a recurring role in the upcoming Lifetime original drama series, "You."

Daniel Cosgrove (“All My Children,” “Days of our Lives,” “Guiding Light”) has landed a recurring role in the upcoming Lifetime original drama series, “You.”

Written and executive produced by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, “You” is a psychological thriller based on Caroline Kepnes’ best-selling novel of the same name. It’s a modern-day story that asks the question, “What would you do for love?” It follows bookstore manager Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley; ex-Dan Humphrey, “Gossip Girl”), who after crossing paths with an aspiring writer, Beck (Elizabeth Lail), uses today’s technology to find out everything he can about her, including those she keeps close so he can remove all obstacles in his way.

Cosgrove will play Ron, a parole officer and Joe’s neighbor. Ron is also the abusive stepfather with a drinking problem to Paco (Luca Padovan).

Deadline first reported the news.

Since ending his run as the twisted Aiden Jennings on “Days of our Lives” in 2016, Cosgrove has appeared in episodes of Showtime’s “Billions” and NBC’s “Law & Order: SVU.”
