Inside The Writers Room: June Edition

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — On May 19, 2011, Dena Higley was fired as head writer of “Days of our Lives” and was replaced by Darrell Ray Thomas, Jr. and Marlene McPherson.   So in June’s edition of “Inside The Writers Room,” I have a few items to report. 

Jeanne Marie Ford moves from the breakdown writer to script editor replacing Fran Myers.   Breakdown writer Lisa Seidman was also let go from the show.  So taking Ford and Seidman’s spot on the breakdown writing team are Nancy Williams Watt and Elizabeth Snyder.  Lastly, David A. Levinson joins as a script writer.

Note: These changes were made before Gary Tomlin’s firing.

In other news, Ron Carlivati will be joining “General Hospital” as a script writer once he’s finished writing the end of “One Life To Live.”  And at “All My Children,” the final scripts will be written in mid-July.
