ABC Daytime and TV Land Cross-Over Event

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) – “All My Children” and “Hot in Cleveland” stars will cross this February.

“All My Children” legends Susan Lucci, Michael E. Knight and Darnell Williams will guest-star on TV Land’s original hit sitcom “Hot in Cleveland” which stars sitcom veterans Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and icon Betty White. The actors will air in a two-part arc of the series – scheduled to air on February 16 and 23 – involving Malick’s washed up soap star character, Victoria Chase. Malick, best known for her role on the former NBC sitcom “Just Shoot Me,” will return the favor and appear on “AMC” on Thursday, February 24. In the episode, Victoria’s “AMC” alter-ego Gertie will find herself facing the wrath of [Victoria’s] long-time industry nemesis daytime queen Susan Lucci’s alter-ego Erica Kane.

ABC Daytime President Brian Frons and TV Land President Larry W. Jones are both thrilled about the cross-over that will allow the storyline established on “Hot in Cleveland” with Victoria to continue on “AMC” with Gertie. In the official press release for the event, Frons calls the cross-over a “unique opportunity to raise awareness of both shows [that share similar demos].” Jones is excited over the opportunity to “bring to life this classic TV form when television worlds collide.”

“AMC” celebrated it’s 41st Anniversary this past January 5. “Hot in Cleveland” is entering its second season.

“All My Children” airs Weekdays on ABC. Anytime on ABC.com. “Hot in Cleveland” airs on TV Land’s Wednesday night line-up. Check local listings for airtimes.
