(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “One Life to Live” uses the sound of music to usher in the month of May.

Is Viki and Clint’s prodigal son Kevin (Dan Gauthier) on his way back to the canvas? It appears so (albeit briefly) since Kevin and his little sis Natalie sympathize with one another over the sorry state of their love lives on Friday, May 7th.

Tramaine Montell Ford, who has recently been tweeting about his days taping on the “OLTL” set, has announced on his website that fans can see him on air during the musical on May 14th, 17th, and 18th.

Meredith Collins recently shot “back to back” episodes of “One Life.”

Cole’s arraignment begins on Wednesday, May 5th, when the teen goes before a rather strict Judge.

More new faces are heading for Llanview as the calendar changes from April to May, however it is unclear exactly who will playing the new minor characters at this time. Look for Penny and Otto to make debuts when Rex and Gigi travel to Sante Fe, New Mexico after getting a lead on the locket Nurse Wojohowitz gave him that belonged to his birth parents on Friday, May 7th. You can read a summary of the audition scripts for both roles here.

Also on May 7th, Danielle accepts Matthew’s prom invite after seeing Nate asking Whitney (Erin Moriarty — but no relation to the “48 Hours” correspondent of the same name) to go the dance. We first saw Whitney last week when she was selling prom tickets to Cristian Vega.

A day earlier, Darren returns and manages to convince Destiny to escort him to the prom. Darren was last seen on March 23rd, when he was Cristian’s one man stage crew for the upcoming musical.

You can read about “One Life” fan Megan Gerth‘s in-depth account (including pictures with the show’s cast) concerning her visit to the studios earlier this month at her blog. Among the things discussed in her blog is a blurb about a guy named Matt, who will playing a Rodi’s Bartender in an upcoming episode.

Shenell Edmonds’ (Destiny) fan club manager has released a statement mentioning the teen star’s upcoming 16th birthday, and the expanding of her character on “One Life to Live.”

And, as for the progress of the impending musical “Starr X-d Lovers,” “OLTL” Music Director Paul Glass tweeted Monday that “we’re more than halfway done…just one more week of taping musical segments when we get back. Thanks!” He also reports that the “Studio is dark this week..much needed rest from a crazy couple musical weeks!!”

“One Life to Live” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Anytime on ABC.com and SOAPnet.com. Check local listings.
