Llanview Casting Gossip: April 2 Edition

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Amanda Setton’s final airdate, two new roles are cast, a familiar face returns, and other minor casting news in this edition of Llanview Casting Gossip.

Amanda Setton‘s days in Llanview as the pole dancer turned millionaire wife Kim Andrews come to an end on Friday, April 2nd.  Setton recently turned down a pay raise and a new contract in favor of exploring other options outside of “One Life to Live.” 

Gavin Alexander Hammon has been cast in the role of Reed, who will interact with Kelly Cramer beginning Friday, April 30th.  Reed is described as “a sexy, good looking suave financial hot shot, and is self assured, charming and confident.”  To read a summary of the audition script, click here.  The role is ‘heavey recurring.’

Lenny Platt debuts as Nate, the boy cast as Cole Thornhart in Langston’s high school musical, on Monday, April 12th. 

Michael Lowry will return as Ross Rayburn later this month, and will “be Todd’s worst nightmare,” according to Soap Opera Weekly.

Matthew Jared will play a Rodi’s Bartendar on Tuesday, April 6th. 

Mellini Kantayya returns as a Nurse on Thursday, April 29th. 

Daniel Passaro recently began the recurring role of Llanview High’s drama teacher Mr. G.

Prospect Park Halts Production on ‘All My Children’ and ‘One Life to Live’ Following Dispute with I.A.T.S.E.; Production May Move Out of Connecticut

As previously reported, Prospect Park's "All My Children," and now "One Life to Live," have been embroiled in a heated debate with I.A.T.S.E. (International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees)/Local 52, the union representing stage workers for the soaps, which alleges that Prospect Park has violated the labor agreement with the union. As a result, Prospect Park today announced that both soaps will halt production effective tomorrow, June 6.

‘OLTL’ Welcomes Back Tonja Walker

Tonja Walker brings popular villainess Alex Olanov back to "One Life to Live" for four episodes that began on Thursday, November 17, when it was revealed that she has a shocking connection to another Llanview resident, Cutter Wentworth (Josh Kelly). Walker's other airdates include November 18, 21, and 22.
