Sebastian Roche (SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Sebastian Roche is bringing Jerry Jacks back to Port Charles for another go around of violence and mayhem on ABC’s “General Hospital.”

Roche, who took over the role of Jerry in 2007 after originator Julian Stone was not asked back, is said to be returning for a “short-term” gig according to Soap Opera Digest‘s website. According to sources, Roche’s first airdate is tentatively set for Friday, July 17.

Also according to Soap Opera Digest, daytime newcomer Lexi Ainsworth, who portrays Kristina Corinthos has been bumped to contract status with the soap. The actress is currently the youngest contract actor on the soap. Don’t look for her to appear in the opening credits, however, as the show hasn’t updated it’s opening in well over two years. Of course, things can change.

Rick Hearst last aired as Ric Lansing on Friday, June 26. Good thing Hearst is heading to “The Bold and the Beautiful” next month or else daytime would have lost one of it’s finest talents to movies and primetime television.

“General Hospital” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings.
