‘One Life’ Looks for the ‘Wright’ Person for New Role

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “One Life to Live” has just released a casting call for the role of ‘Dr. Wright.’

As is common policy for the sudser concerning auditon scripts, character names and other easily identifiable information have been changed in an attempt to confuse viewers.  In addition, ‘Dr. Wright’ could potentially only be a codename for the another role being cast.

That being said, the script begins with Dr. Wright (no specific mention is made of gender, although the character appears to lean toward being female) being introduced to ‘Sam’ by ‘Greg.’  Sam quips that the doctor has a suitable last name, considering the job profession. Next Greg introduces ‘Eve,’ who is the neurologist that will be consulting on ‘Albert’s’ case.

Dr. Wright tells Sam that he has a good kid and should be very proud of him.  Greg states that Sam is the very reason why all these health care professionals are assisting him, and that Sam managed to talk Dr. Wright into taking a look at Albert’s prognosis.  After taking an important phone call, Greg soon returns to the others. Dr. Wright suggests that they pick their discussion up again tomorrow, and tells Greg about a place that has some really good music.  Everyone thanks the doctor for agreeing to come to Llanview. Dr. Wright then informs Greg that he/she has poured over all his articles and found them to be rather impressive. As the scene ends Dr. Wright tells Greg what an honor is to be working together, to which he responds that perhaps they can be more then co-workers.

From the tone of the script, it appears that that ‘Sam’ may be Bo, ‘Albert’ Matthew, and ‘Greg’ the new doctor (Greg Evans) that was recently cast with Terrell Tilford, who first airs on June 23rd.  And with Réal Andrews reportedly on hold for a role on the soap and Ada Maris recently joining the cast (could she be portraying ‘Eve’?), perhaps one or both actors may factor into this script.  Too many questions.  Too few answers.  Only time will tell as this particular scene will not appear onscreen for several months.

“One Life to Live” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings.
