‘OLTL’ May Casting News

SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Jessica Brennan’s state of mind is about to become even more fragile when the news concerning baby Chloe sees the light of day.  This and other casting news concerning “One Life to Live” for the month of May.

First gatekeeper Bess, the overprotective gatekeeper of Jess’ mind reappears first in flashback form on May 19th, when details are recalled about the night of Chloe’s birth.  A few days later Bess returns ‘in the flesh’ to take control of the situation.

As she struggles to maintain order, Bess soon faces another challenge on May 26th as Bree Williamson does triple duty when Tess, Jessica’s free spirit alter, demands to know how Bess plans to pull off her complicated plan.

In other news…

Jackie Hoffman returns to Llanview on May 11th as Eunice Burns, who was last seen in February as the irritable ticket taker at the Go Red Ball.  Eunice is likely to have some scenes involving the Llanview High School prom, which is set to begin on that day.  Hoffman is a stand-up comedian best known for her one woman stage shows.  She has also appeared in the  Broadway productions “Hairspray” and “Xanadu,” as well films such as “Kissing Jessica Stein,” “Garden State,” and “Legally Blond 2: Red, White, and Blonde.”

Rumor mill, for what it’s worth…

Sean Monynihan is said to be back at the “OLTL” studios recently, despite the fact that the KAD serial killer storyline will be resolved later this month.

Saoirse Scott may be out as Jamie Vega, given that her onscreen father Kamar de los Reyes has left the soap, and his character Antonio recently mentioned that Llanview was no longer safe for his daughter, and that she was coming with him.

And apparently Jerry verDorn is not a favorite of the higher-ups at ABC Daytime.  At least one site is reporting that, while the actor remains on contract with “OLTL,” his episode guarantee has been reduced and that ABC Daytime head Brian Frons is said to have commented that he does not want to see verDorn receiving too much airtime on the show.

“One Life to Live” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings.
