On the heels of the news that “Guiding Light” alum Grant Aleksander (ex-Phillip Spaulding) and “All My Children” alum Terri Ivens (Simone Torres) have joined the cast of the online drama series “Tainted Dreams” comes news that “General Hospital” alum Natalia Livingston (ex-Emily Bowen-Quartermaine; ex-Taylor Walker, “Days of our Lives”) has also joined the Internet sudser as Liza Park.
Port Charles is about to get a new resident in the form of daytime actor William deVry, who took to Facebook to announce that he has joined ABC’s only sudser in a contract role. “Finally! I just got word I can tell you I just finished my first day of work on ‘General Hospital,’” the actor wrote. “It is a contract role. Very rare these days indeed. And I come to town as the character of Derek Willis.”
Reports surfaced yesterday that actress Kelly Sullivan (Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri) would be departing ABC’s “General Hospital.” While representatives for the show and the actress weren’t commenting on the situation when Soap Opera Network reached out to them, the actress herself took to Facebook to set the record straight.
The OnLine Network has announced that on Wednesday, July 10, “All My Children” fans will finally get a chance to catch a glimpse of Alicia Minshew as Kendall Hart, who we recently discovered had divorced Zach Slater (Thorsten Kaye) between the end of the ABC incarnation to the current TOLN version of the soap. Minshew appeared on the set of the online anytime series on Friday, March 8, when it was announced she’d be reprising her role as the eldest daughter of Erica Kane (Susan Lucci).
Casey Deidrick, who portrays Chad DiMera on “Days of our Lives,” announced today on Twitter that he’s departing the NBC Daytime drama series after completing filming of his final episode, which per a tweeted image is expected to air in late October.

Parenting team Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) on “The Young and the Restless” are about to get a little surprise: Their daughter, Faith, is going to be a whole new person!
The little girl’s current portrayer, Alyvia Alyn Lind (pictured top, with Morrow and Case), is reportedly unavailable for an upcoming summer storyline, so the show has replaced her with young actress McKenna Grace (pictured right). A rep for the show confirms that Lind’s final appearance will be on Tuesday, July 2, while Grace’s first appearance in the recurring role as Nick and Sharon’s small wonder will be on Friday, July 12.
Lind played a young Emily Thorne in ABC’s “Revenge.” Grace has appeared in the series “Crash & Bernstein.”
A CBS spokesperson has confirmed reports of actor Sean Carrigan joining the cast of “The Young and the Restless” in the recurring role of Stitch, an old Army friend of Dylan McAvoy’s (Steve Burton).
The daytime newcomer has appeared in a slew of primetime television shows including “Criminal Minds,” “The Closer,” “Hart of Dixie,” “Touch” and “Up All Night.” He previously starred on NBC’s “The Event.” In 2012, the actor could be seen in Walt Disney Pictures “John Carter.”
Carrigan hits Genoa City beginning with the Friday, June 28 episode of the soap.
As previously reported, Paolo Seganti (ex-Damien Grimaldi, “As The World Turns”) has joined the cast of The OnLine Network’s “One Life to Live” as Arturo Bandini, a wealthy, suave and sexy man whose family is very influential in the art world, beginning with the Thursday, June 27 episode. TOLN has released the first image of Seganti in his new role, which can be viewed above.
Joining the “OLTL” cast along with Seganti are former Procter & Gamble stars Marnie Schulenburg (ex-Alison Stewart, “As The World Turns”) and Ron Raines (ex-Alan Spaulding, “Guiding Light”). For more on their roles and their first airdates, click here.
