On Wednesday, November 27, don’t forget to tune into CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” as Eileen Davidson returns to Genoa City when her character Ashley Abbott surprises her family for Thanksgiving.
When asked in a recent interview with Soap Opera Network whether she’d be interested in making return visits to “Y&R,” Davidson said, “I would be open to doing any show… It’s really about schedule.” She added, “I have such a wonderful history with ‘The Young and the Restless.’ I don’t have any weird feelings or bad feelings, so they don’t really have to do much to win me back to come back for a couple of days. I’m happy to do it, and it’s fun for me. I don’t really want to be working any place right now full time, so this is actually kind of perfect, to be able to come back and see people. [And it’s] an amazing experience: Nobody gets bored with me, nobody is tired of seeing me. It’s like, ‘Oh yay, she’s back!’”
Davidson most recently appeared in late October to support Ashley’s brother, Billy Abbott (Billy Miller), who lost his daughter from a hit-and-run.

Today marked the end of a four-year chapter for “Days of our Lives” fan favorite Casey Deidrick (Chad DiMera), who entered Salem as Will’s (Chandler Massey’s) hated rival back in 2009 and is now exiting the canvas as the much-loved and integral character, son of Stefano (Joseph Mascolo). While storyline details are being kept under wraps, fans can expect his return to provide lots of twists and turns that will send shockwaves all across Port Charles. Saucedo was last seen on “GH” in 2001, when his character left town to pursue a music career in South America. In 2012, it was revealed that Juan was the adopted cousin of Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo).
According to Soap Opera Digest, NBC’s “Days of our Lives” is welcoming back veteran actor Drake Hogestyn (John Black) to its canvas after nearly a 7-month absence. Hogestyn last appeared on screen in mid-July based on scenes filmed in mid-March.
In its August 12 issue, “DAYS” executive producer, Ken Corday, was quoted as saying of Hogestyn’s alter-ego, “I consider him one of the iconic characters in Salem and someone who can come and go because John Black is a superspy, know all-do all. It is very possible that by the end of the year or the turn of the year, you will see him again.”
Based on its current filming schedule, fans should expect Hogestyn to appear again on screen sometime in early 2014.
