    Just one day after NBC's "Days of our Lives" received the good news from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences that it was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series, among its 14 total nominations, for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, comes word that the daytime soap is saying goodbye to one of its leading men. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that James Scott (EJ DiMera) completes filming at The Burbank Studios today, May 2, after an eight year run with the show. READ MORE

    Soap Opera Digest is reporting that CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful" will once again welcome Hunter Tylo back to its canvas as the storyline of Aly (Ashlyn Pearce) dealing with the death of her mother, Darla (Schae Harrison), continues to play out on screen and kicks into high gear particularly during May Sweeps.     Best known for his singing stints in "Nashville Star" and "If I Can Dream," country music singer and actor Justin Gaston has joined the cast of NBC's "Days of our Lives" in the contract role of Ben, who a casting call from last summer described as "early-to-mid 20s... midwestern or southern (very slight southern accent) country boy. He is utterly charming in his honest sincere approach to life and love. Ben can also sing and/or play the guitar, though it is not necessary."
