Someone in the “Mistresses” casting department must be a “General Hospital” fan: former ‘GH’ stars Jason Gerhardt (ex-Coop Barrett) and Rebeka Montoya (ex-Dolores Padilla) have signed on for Season 2 of the primetime sudser.

According to TVLine.com, Gerhardt will appear as a recurring character who shows up at the home of Savi (Alyssa Milano) during the third episode of Season 2. The two end up having a very unique connection, one which complicates Savi’s life.

Not much else is known about Gerhardt’s character, except it is heavily teased that he will serve as a romantic interest for Savi and their relationship could lead to a love triangle with another character.

Montoya’s character will also look to shake things up. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she will play a Latina lawyer whose “ambition is matched by her beauty.” No word yet on which episode she will make her first appearance in, but she will also be on recurring status.

“Mistresses” follows the scandalous personal, professional, and love lives of four women: ambitious career woman Savi (Milano, “Charmed,”) therapist Karen (Yunjin Kim, “Lost,”) newly widowed April (Rochelle Aytes, “White Chicks,”) and free-spirited Josslyn (Jes Macallan, “Crash & Burn.”)

The show begins its second season this summer.
