    CBS is doing something……………….. :D

  • Bexx

Seeing Y&R dominate the first position of every category brings back fond memories. These ratings should be motivation for CBS to get their house in order.

  • Bexxx The Clown

Great job for GH doing so well in the key demos that the advertisers pay for. Also nice to see the show over 3 million viewers each day. Keep it up an and keep showing my twin that she is worng

  • MJIYAH

I do feel the daytime audience was spoiled with soapnet… why watch live when you could catch it later? This is so obvious why the ratings declined… You don’t need all those options… watch live… AND NOW THE RATINGS ARE GOING OFF THE CHARTS!!!!! YOU NEED THE LIVE AUDIENCE AND WOW, THEY SHOWED UP… THIS WEEK.. I HAVENT SEEN THESE KINDS OF #”S IN YEARS…. THERE IS AN AUDIENCE OUT THERE!! THESE RATINGS ARE BETTER THAN PRIMETIME SHOWS ON MAJOR NETWORKS!!! SAYS A LOT!!!???

    • Billy Vick

I WOULD AGREE with you EXCEPT these ratings ARE SUPPOSED (notice I said SUPPOSED) to reflect LIVE + SAME DAY RATINGS, therefore should NOT be affected if one watched the shows LIVE or watched them LIVE OR 6 hours later (in the case of DAYS OF OUR LIVES in the EASTERN time zone). And I thought, probably mistakenly IF I were a RATINGS FAMILY and I watched DAYS (for example) LIVE at 1:00pm EST and then a 2nd time AGAIN at 7:00pm EST on SOAPNET it would have made DAYS’ ratings HIGHER for that day. Does anyone KNOW IF THAT WOULD HAVE ACTUALLY BEEN THE CASE? So I honestly thought with the demise of SOAPNET which did have several 100,000 viewers, the soap ratings might decline. COMMENTS?? Does anyone professional or otherwise have any data on what numbers TVGUIDE Network adds to Y&R and/or B&B’s daily numbers? Thank you guys!

Soapnet ratings did not count at all. They only counted the network’s rating for the afternoon. I believe that looking at live and same day does a show a great disservice. I know many families that catch up on weekends. I just watched Castle last night. Who has time during the week with kids???

  • PatF

YR hit 6 MILLION viewers plus on that Monday.
    Wow!

  • Billy Vick

GREAT to see 3 of the 4 SOAPS persist in having high FRIDAY RATINGS once again! I’m proud of ALL the soaps no matter WHICH ones I personally watch!

  • Jared Bradshaw

WOW! 6 Million viewers watching Y&R? That is utterly amazing. That number is old school. Polar Vortex? Soapnet going away? Who knows? But I think the report of the soap’s demise was prematurely reported.

  • let the numbers speak

And another week for the top 4 soaps that is (together with last week)
the best since the 2007-08 season!!

Above all, soaps are drawing the best ratings in the key demos BY FAR!

  • Fox

Some of these highs are undoubtedly because Y&R, DAYS, and GH are no longer being broadcast on SOAPnet.
