( — The actor’s days in Llanview as Schuyler Joplin draw to a close.

Daytime Confidential broke the story earlier this afternoon that rumors were swirling that Clifton “has taped his last episode of ‘One Life to Live’ and is telling pals he’s been let go from the sudser.”  Now “One Life to Live” Executive Producer Frank Valentini is confirming the news to Soap Opera Digest, stating that “I loved working with Scott Clifton and he is a true gentleman.”

The news comes exactly one month after the former “General Hospital” star tweeted that he and “One Life” co-stars “Went through our orientation at the new studio today. They put me in Susan Lucci’s old dressing room. Moving up in the world!”

According to DC, the show has decided to phase out the character of Schuyler following the conclusion of the Sierra Rose custody storyline. In the meantime, however, fans can expect some more twists and turns in his quest to raise ‘his’ infant daughter in scenes airing later this month. And look for Gigi, Roxy, Allison, Mitch and others in Llanview to mix it up with Mr. J in the coming weeks as well.

Clifton joined the cast of “One Life to Live” on January 9, 2009. Prior to that he portrayed Dillon Quartermaine on “General Hospital” from 2003-2007. He received Daytime Emmy nominations for the role, in the category of ‘Outstanding Younger Actor,’ in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Other television credits include appearances on “Judging Amy,” “Undressed,” and “Roswell.” In addition, he is a singer/songwriter and has released two self-produced albums, “Untitled” and “Unbeautiful.”

No final airdate has been announced.  Soap Opera Network will bring you details as they develop.

“One Life to Live” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Anytime on and Check local listings.

( — Soap Opera Network has your exclusive sneak peek at what what Kimberly Andrews (Amanda Setton) and her bridemaids will be wearing on her big day.

On Thursday, March 11th, Kim will walk down the aisle with the goal of becoming the next Mrs. Clint Buchanan.  And, with her about to wed one of the wealthiest men in Llanview, expect her wedding gown to make a fashion statement.

When planning the character’s special day, “One Life to Live’s” Emmy Award-winning costume department teamed up with the C.I. Visions, Inc. to help make the plot twist a reality.

Kimberly’s gown, is  “a slinky and sexy Jovani (Style # 14791) sheath bejeweled and bedazzled with a plunging neckline and slit up to there,” which symbolizes her free spirit in true Vegas style.

As for her bridesmaids Laudine (Rachelle Wintzen) and Leah (Taylor Gildersleeve), they will be wearing sparkly Jovani cocktail dresses (Styles # 151623 and 152153, respectively).

According to “One Life to Live” Costume Designer Susan Gammie, “It was important to me that all the dresses reflect a fun and sexy sense of style – a sensibility I associate with Jovani.”

Other celebrities who have worn Jovani dresses include Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Selena Gomez, Brooke Shields, Kim Kardashian, and Hilary Duff.

But will Kim ulitmately say “I do,” or will she have a change of heart at the last moment?  Watch “One Life to Live” this week to find out!

( — Reaction to former “All My Children” star Eden Riegel’s move to the “The Young and the Restless.”

Several days after Soaps ln Depth confirmed the surprising news that Eden Riegel had signed on to join “The Young in the Restless” in the role of Heather Stevens, a role currently played by Vail Bloom, reaction from the involved parties has come in.

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that an insider close to “All My Children,” Riegel’s home for close to a decade off and on, has told them that the show intends to recast the role of Bianca. The insider indicates that Riegel pretty much made it clear that “she was done playing the role of Erica’s daughter.” Riegel and the insider both indicate that there was discussion concerning the actress rejoining the soap going on as recently as in January.

In a recent TV Guide interview, Riegel stressed that the decision to turn away from on “AMC” was not easy but it ultimately came down to the fact that there were no guarantees that the writer’s would not further ruin her memories of the character and it just “worries [her] too much.” Although “AMC” has long skirted around giving the character of Bianca a real lesbian romance it’s more than likely Riegel’s last long-term return to the show that left her with this reflection: “I felt like I didn’t know my character anymore…There is a lot of hurt.” In that four month arc, maligned former Head Writer Charles Pratt, Jr., revealed that Bianca conspired to have a child with her sister’s husband behind her back with no logical explanation behind it, and Bianca was made a distant third wheel in her romance with her fiancé (played by popular “General Hospital” alum Tamara Braun) who spent months growing closer to Bianca’s baby-daddy; the mess cumulated in daytime’s first gay wedding being a farce. The popular actress is very excited about having a fresh start at “Y&R” and hopes her fans will be too. “I can only hope they’ll support me in this next chapter of my life. This is a huge, huge step for me,” exclaims the actress. Riegel debuts on “Y&R” this April.

Bloom, who has played the role of Heather on “Y&R” for approximately three years, spoke out through her publicist in an attempt to shut down rumors that she was let go after the show acquired Riegel. The publicist for Bloom insists that “Vail left the show on her own. She was not fired or let go. She was a non-contract player on Y&R and it was ultimately her choice to leave. She has had to turn down outside projects presented to her in the past and now wants to be able to pursue other opportunities.” Whatever the case, Bloom clearly harbors no hard feelings, the actress call her time at “Y&R” an “incredible experience.”

“The Young and the Restless” airs Weekdays on CBS. “All My Children” airs Weekdays on ABC. Both air Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings.
