(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — And they all fall down.

THIS WEEK ON: ONE LIFE TO LIVE

Greg saves the life of one of the teens Rachel is counseling when the boy suffers a head injury on Monday, July 20. Destiny thinks Téa could be the answer to Matthew’s troubles. Soon thereafter, his parent’s are on the receiving end of Matthew’s rage. Bo and Nora don’t give much thought to their son’s lawsuit against them, that is until they learn that Téa will be representing him in court on Thursday, July 23. Téa, meanwhile, refuses to give into Nora’s demands that she drop the case, claiming she will only back off if Matthew instructs her to do so. Viki holds nothing back when Clint tells her he may have destroyed his chance at happiness with Nora, offering him some rather sound advice. On Friday, July 24, Nora attempts to use her son’s lawsuit as a reason to postpone her wedding to Clint. Shaun, Rachel, and Greg learn of the litigation from Matthew and Destiny. As Cristian reads the coded letter Fish left for Kyle, Layla asks Fish why he decided to tell his co-workers that they were dating, after asking her to keep it a secret while on the job. Explaining that he has to appear macho in front of the other cops, Fish rejects Layla’s advances on Tuesday, July 21. Kyle catches Cristian with the letter, and manages to dodge his questions. Fish overreacts when Layla asks him if he is gay; a lovesick Kyle thinks about Fish on Wednesday, July 22. And Shaun gets the wrong idea after finding Rachel in his brother’s hotel room on Thursday, July 23.

The Inside Story: They Say the Mind is the First to Go
A naive Stacy issues Rex an ultimatum — either sleep with her once more or she will destroy the extra bag of blood. Rex refuses to play games with her, however, telling her that, while he would do anything to save his son, he would feel repulsed and disgusted during every second that they were intimate. Crushed, a dejected Stacy hands over the bag of blood to Rex on Monday, July 20. As Rex and Gigi celebrate that Stacy is finally out of their lives, the coniving little trap secretly vows to continue fighting until her claws are firmly into her man. Later, a carefree Gigi encounters her slutty sister in a parking garage armed with a crowbar, which she used to vandalize Gigi’s car. Stacy taunts her sister once more, claiming that she isn’t giving up without a fight. Fed up with her sister’s manipulations, Gigi physically attacks Stacy on Tuesday, July 21. Lunging for Gigi, Stacy takes a tumble down a flight of stairs. Meanwhile, after being confronted by Rex, Roxy makes a tearful admission that Shane’s stem cell donor and Rex’s father are one in the same. As she is about to reveal his identity, Gigi calls with news of Stacy’s accident on Wednesday, July 22. As much as she despises her sister, Gigi is nonetheless relieved to learn that she was not seriously injured in the fall. While Rex continues to lie to Gigi about sleeping the enemy, the doctor takes Stacy by surprise with the news that she’s pregnant. After learning just what a wackjob Stacy was the night before, Rex contacts Bo to press charges against her, and is clearly concerned for Gigi and Shane’s safety on Friday, July 23. Losing all touch with reality, Stacy contemplates a peaceful, happy life with Rex and their baby. Just wanting the situation to end once and for all, Gigi offers to drop the charges against Stacy, on the condition that she disappear from their lives forever. And Rex confesses to Bo that he slept with Stacy only once, and that he never plans to share the news with Gigi.

A Closer Look: Green with Envy
Once the divorce papers are signed, John and Blair share a bittersweet farewell. Starr and Cole have sex for the first time since creating baby Hope on Wednesday, July 22. After witnessing his son kissing Langston, Ernesto completely disowns Markko. Langston tries to raise Markko’s spirits. After waking up and basking in the afterglow of their night together, Starr and Cole overhear some shocking news on Hope’s baby monitor on Thursday, July 23. The pair listens as Dorian scolds Todd for sleeping with Blair. After convincing Dorian that Téa is really the one he wants to be with, she offers to give him pointers on how to get back in her good graces. Meanwhile, Blair pays Téa a visit under the pretense of apologizing for her actions, but is really there to gloat about her tryst with Todd. As things heat up, Blair and Téa quickly get swept up into a major catfight. After delivering the final blow, a smug Blair storms out. By Friday, July 24, Téa is dumbfounded when Todd, whom she thinks has finally lost his mind, presents her with a key to La Boulaie and invites her to move in. The news, as expected, does not go over well with Blair, who is filled with rage at Dorian upon learning that it was all her idea. In her defense, however, Dorian tries to explain to her niece that she only did what she did to keep her from making yet another mistake by hooking up with Todd.

Megan Ward (SoapOperaNetwork.com) — After the Thursday, July 16 airing of ABC’s “General Hospital,” rumors began flying that Megan Ward, who portrays Kate Howard on the soap, is done filming. Not true says a “General Hospital” spokesman.

“It was not Megan’s last day. You will see her again.”

Nearly two years since joining the cast of “GH,” Ward was bumped to recurring status in April 2009 along with Rick Hearst (ex-Ric Lansing), who recently jumped ship to CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” when the soap offered him a contract in order to retun to the soap as Whipple ‘Whip’ Jones III.

Ward is best known for her roles in such primetime series as FOX’s “Party of Five” and “Melrose Place” and the series “Dark Skies.” She can next be seen in the film “The Invited” due out this year. The film also stars Victor Browne (ex-Drew Buchanan, “One Life to Live”) and Lou Diamond Phillips.

“General Hospital” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) – “One Life to Live’s” resident physic returns when a certain widow asks the clairvoyant to contact the spirit of her dead husband.

As the Buchanan family gathers round at Asa’s lodge on Monday, July 27th in celebration of the upcoming nuptials of two of the town’s leading couples Renee, sensing the presence of her late husband and ruthless family patriarch Asa Buchanan, turns to Madame Delphina (Lea DeLaria) for help in contacting his restless spirit. However, things don’t go quite as planned, when the physic receives some strange vibes while trying to reach the old coot from the other side.

Fans may recall that DeLaria first appeared as Delphina back in 1999, when she was hired by Dorian Lord to communicate with the spirit of her presumed dead husband Mel Hayes, following the crash of an airplane which he was aboard. There meetings cumulated in an onscreen kiss between Dorian and Delphina, who was possessed with Mel’s spirit at the time. The character was resurrected last year when Delphina was brought in to help locate Rex Balsom and Bo Buchanan after the pair were struck by lightning and transported back in time 40 years to 1968, where she performed double duty by also portraying Delphina’s male equivalent, Dr. Del Fina, who worked to help Bo and Rex return to the year 2008. In addition, Madame Delphina also attempted to help Dorian find David earlier this year before he learned of his true paternity, sensed danger for Starr’s unborn baby, and provided Langston Wilde with a cryptic message concerning her family, among other things.

Further spooking the clan is the fact that it appears that someone is lurking about just outside the lodge. While the mystery man has yet to be identified, Jessica is sure that it is the ghost of her deceased husband Nash Brennan, following a series of bizarre coincidences, one of which even involves her daughter Bree. But is she right, or is her mind simply playing tricks on her as her heart continues to grieve for the husband and child she lost? And, if the man is more than just a figment of her imagination, is he from the world of the living, or from the realm of the dead?

As his brother’s wedding to his ex-wife draws nearer, Bo Buchanan begins to wonder if he’s crazy for harboring lingering feelings for Nora. As he ponders his dilemma, he decides to pay a visit to the one person who despises her more than life itself. But upon arriving at Statesville Prison on Friday, July 31st, will Lindsay (Catherine Hickland) be able to give Bo the reassurance he needs, or will his feelings for his ex become clear as mud?

And finally, Evan Joiner is back as Asher, the teenage pill pusher, beginning Wednesday, July 29th, as Cole and John’s undercover sting to bring down Llanview’s drug dealers gets underway.

“One Life to Live” airs Weekdays on ABC. Weeknights on SOAPnet. Check local listings.

Airtel Plaza Hotel (SoapOperaNetwork.com) — So you’ve been coming to “General Hospital” Fan Club Weekend at the Sportsmen’s Lodge for years and are leery of change. You’re not sure what a new venue will be like and feel this may be your last year attending the biggest soap fan weekend in the world. I have a question to ask? What’s to worry about?

Like many of you, I’ve been coming to the “GH” Fan Club Weekend for years. This will be my fourth year. When it was announced during the 2008 Fan gathering that it would be our last at the Sportsmen’s due to the lodge’s then impending closure, many of us thought the event itself was over. With the hard work and dedication of Debbie Morris, President, General Hospital Fan Club, and all the important individual’s that work closely with her in planning these fan events, we got word in late 2008 that not only would the events continue, but they’d be taking place at a new location. Enter Airtel Plaza Hotel.

      Airtel Plaza Hotel

The Airtel Plaza Hotel is located in Van Nuys, CA. It is about 20 minutes away from the Sportsmen’s Lodge. At face value, there is nothing special about the hotel. But it is what’s on the inside that counts. Interestingly, the Airtel Plaza Hotel is located right next door to the Van Nuys Airport, hence “Air”tel. The hotel is for private planes only, so don’t go kicking yourself for booking your arrival at LAX or Burbank.

      Front Desk Check-in
Checking into the Airtel is simple. Like many hotels you enter the lobby and head straight to the front desk to confirm your reservation. Unlike many hotels, the Airtel’s staff doesn’t pretend to care about your needs, they just do. They answer all of your questions, no matter how tedious they might seem. They give you straight answers, not the run around. When do they stop serving dinner? What time does the bar close? The pool? The gym? What’s the nightly parking rates? Just some of the questions I asked when I checked into the hotel after 7:00 PM on Wednesday. For reference, the dinning room closes at 10:00 PM, the bar closes at about 1:00 AM (depending on the day of the week), the pool closes at 8:00 PM, the gym is open 24/7 and parking is $10 a night. One neat feature upon checking into the Airtel, at least during Fan Club Weekend, is the hotel has specially designed guest room keys to promote their appreciation that the events are being held at their hotel. The keys read “Airtel Plaza Hotel Welcomes 2009 ‘General Hospital’ Fan Club Weekend July 16th – 20th.”

      Dining
Dining at the Airtel is expensive if you are used to the prices at Jerry’s (there is no late night diner that I’m aware of at this time that you can go to as a hangout place). I had a meal with light portions for $17. While good, proportionally the cost does not compare to what you can get for the same price at an Applebee’s, TGI Friday’s or Dallas BBQ’s, but this is a hotel after all. Nothing comes cheap. My waiter answered all my questions and provided me with a second helping of their tasty bread. Not sure what’s in it, but something about it gives it a unique taste. The restaurant itself feels like you are in another world (pardon the pun). The setting is almost the equivalent of a private club if they dimmed the lights a little more. Though, it is better off the way it is as you can take in the scenery.

      Pool
While I have yet to actually get in the pool, from what I have seen there isn’t much to see. The pool is really tiny. If you are looking to swim laps, the pool is angled in such a way that it makes things difficult. Unless you want a cool down, I wouldn’t recommend this as part of your To-Do List.

      Hotel Room
Some of you may have a different room setting to go by, but my room compromises of a King Size bed with a couch, cable TV (including HBO), a complimentary fridge with a sink to wash dishes, room for a cot (if desired) that doesn’t force your roomate to walk around your sleeping form, and a bathroom that is broken into two sections. All together, the hotel room is grander than a studio apartment that could run you thousands a month, not including assorted building and maintenence fees. The bed is very comfortable. In fact, if I were not writing this piece, I’d probably still be enjoying said comfort.

      Expectations
All in all, the Airtel has so far exceeded my expectations. There are still a few days left of my stay here, but I forsee nothing of note that could change my view on this hotel. For those of you coming for the weekend’s events and are staying outside of the Airtel, you do not know what you are missing.

      Kickoff Party

Tonight is the kickoff party for the “General Hospital” Fan Club Weekend, but while I won’t be attending the event, i’m sure those of you who will, will have lots of stories to tell. Have fun, drink up, but keep the hangover elsewhere. We want you returning to your home’s safe and sound and again next year.
