Today, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences officially announced the nominees of the 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards! The list of pre-noms in the categories for Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor and Actress, Supporting Actor and Actress, Younger Actor and Actress and more was whittled down to just a few final contenders who will compete for the coveted National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Emmy award statuettes during the event that will be taking place on Sunday, June 22. During the final minutes of ABC’s “Good Morning America,” the morning show revealed selected nominees for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” which remains without a TV home despite being scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 22 live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel. According to David Michaels, Senior Executive Director and Co-Executive Producer of the awards show, however, The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences does plan to stream the ceremony online if no TV deal can be made for this year.

“The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) already has a lot on his plate these days, but it’s possible the writers are looking to throw him one more loop: An unknown love child! Or at least, that’s what Dr. Chris Brown, host of the Australian series “Bondi Vet,” guessed could be the case when the sudser reportedly offered him a role on the series!

TVGN (TV Guide Network) announced today during its upfront presentation several new and returning series that will encompass more than 400 hours of original programming set to air on the network during the 2014-2015 television season. As part of its presentation, the network revealed that it is currently developing a new docu-series project from the producers of “Hatfields & McCoys” and “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” that follows former daytime and primetime soap stars as they attempt to produce a new primetime serialized drama that they will eventually star in.

It’s been a long time coming, but the date for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards has officially been set: A spokesperson for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences confirms that the ceremony will be taking place on Sunday, June 22 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

CBS Daytime has featured a slew of crossover stories as of late, and there’s yet one more on the way: “Let’s Make a Deal’s’” model, Danielle Demski is headed to “The Young and the Restless!”

“The Price Is Right” has crossed over with “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” and “B&B” and “Y&R” just recently did a crossover storyline based around a major fashion show. But just because it’s recently been done doesn’t mean viewers should expect the CBS Daytime shows to stop intertwining anytime soon, as there’s one more crossover already added to the docket: “Let’s Make a Deal’s” Jonathan Mangum is heading to “The Bold and the Beautiful!”

When life gives you lemons, you’re supposed to make lemonade. But when former “All My Children” actors Debbie Morgan (ex-Angie Hubbard) and Ricky Paull Goldin (ex-Jake Martin, “AMC;” ex-Jesse Torres, “The Bold and the Beautiful;” ex-Gus Aitoro, “Guiding Light;” Andrew Miller, “Beacon Hill”) were given the very lemon-esque news that their sudser had been cancelled, they decided to make much more than lemonade: They paired up to executive produce an MTV special!

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. And so it goes for Elizabeth Hendrickson’s time as “The Young and the Restless’” Chloe Mitchell. The actress recently announced that she’ll be wrapping up her six-year stint as the character and will be saying goodbye to daytime — at least for the time being. Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that veteran soap stars Ronn Moss, Sean Kanan, Judi Evans and Patrika Darbo have joined the cast of LANY Entertainment’s “The Bay: The Series,” which premieres Chapter 12 on Thursday, May 1 with episodes running a bit longer in length than they had in prior chapters (episodes will now run between 17-20 minutes, typical for a weekly 1/2 hour series excluding commercials).

During first quarter 2014, CBS’ full daytime lineup was up 13% compared to first quarter 2013, per Nielsen Media Research data. Additionally, “The Talk” and “Let’s Make a Deal” delivered their largest-ever first quarter in total viewers and key women. Meanwhile, “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” delivered their largest audiences since first quarter 2008, with “Y&R” averaging 5.51 million viewers, up 11% from last year, and “B&B” averaging 4.02 million viewers, up 10% from last year. “The Price is Right” was also attracted its best numbers since 2004 and 2005, respectively.

“General Hospital’s” A.J. Quartermaine has officially bought the farm, and we’ll soon be seeing his portrayer, Sean Kanan, back on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” The actor reprises his role as the love-to-hate-him Deacon Sharpe on Friday, June 13 — and the sudser’s headwriter, Bradley P. Bell, says it’s going to be one hellraising return!

Now that “General Hospital’s” Sean Kanan (ex-A.J. Quartermaine) is headed back to “The Bold and the Beautiful” to reprise his role as sleazy con-man Deacon Sharpe, “The Young and the Restless” fans are wondering if the character will be swinging by Genoa City to visit his former lover, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). And while that may be an eventuality, “B&B’s” headwriter, Bradley P. Bell, admits that instead of loaning out Deacon to “Y&R,” he’d rather steal Nikki for his own sudser!

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” will once again welcome Hunter Tylo back to its canvas as the storyline of Aly (Ashlyn Pearce) dealing with the death of her mother, Darla (Schae Harrison), continues to play out on screen and kicks into high gear particularly during May Sweeps. Per the publication, citing a show spokesperson, Tylo is expected to re-appear as Taylor Hayes Forrester beginning Friday, April 25.
