Fans of former soap stars Barbara Niven (ex-Liz Coleman Reynolds, “One Life to Live”; ex-Branda Dickerson, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and Dylan Neal (pictured top; ex-Dylan Shaw, “B&B”) might be thrilled about the actors’ latest project: They’ve both been cast as series regulars alongside Andie MacDowell (“Four Weddings and a Funeral,” “Groundhog Day”) in Hallmark Channel’s new primetime series, “Debbie Macomber’s Cedar Cove!”
The show, which is based on Macomber’s New York Times bestselling book series, “Cedar Cove,” tells the story of a respected small-town municipal court judge (MacDowell) who considers leaving the beautiful lake town where she raised her family to take a federal judgeship. Before she goes, she discovers home really is where the heart is as she helps her daughter and friends navigate tough relationships — and she even starts a romance of her own with the town’s newest addition, newspaper editor Jack Griffith (Neal). Niven (pictured right) will be playing the role of Peggy Beldon, wife of Bob Beldon (Bruce Boxleitner, “TRON,” “Babylon 5”) in the series.
Look for the two-hour premiere on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, July 20 at 8PM ET/PT.
