Daytime Vet Alla Korot to Play New Character on ‘DAYS’

Best known for roles on "All My Children" and "Another World," actress Alla Korot is set to begin filming at NBC's "Days of our Lives" next month in the newly created role of Janet Bernard, Korot announced on her Twitter page over the weekend. A first airdate is not yet known but fans can expect for the actress to hit the screen sometime in June.

2015 Artios Awards — ‘GH’s’ Mark Teschner Wins for Daytime Drama Series

The Casting Society of America (CSA) hosted the 30th Annual Artios Awards last night in ceremonies taking place simultaneously in New York and Los Angeles. "General Hospital's" Mark Teschner took home the casting award for Daytime Drama Series. He beat out "Days of our Lives" casting director Marnie Saitta, and associate Bob Lambert, and "The Young and the Restless" casting director Judy Blye Wilson, and associate Greg Salmon.

R.I.P. Deborah Blackwell, Former SOAPnet General Manager

Deborah Blackwell, the former general manager of Disney/ABC Cable Network Group's SOAPnet from 2001-2007, has died at the age of 63, reports Deadline Hollywood. She died yesterday, January 31, after a seven-year battle with Pick’s disease, a rare neurodegenerative disorder. Blackwell was surrounded by family in Virginia at the time of her passing.
