PREVIOUS Thursday, September 22, 2022:
On Wednesday, September 28, the January 6th Committee will hold their next hearing, the first since July. The hearing will again occur during the daytime hours, beginning at 1:00 p.m. ET/10:00 a.m. PT.

As has been the case since the hearings began in June, the broadcast networks are likely to preempt all or part of their daytime lineups, primarily impacting “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “GMA3: What You Need to Know,” “The Talk” and “General Hospital,” wherein episodes will push forward for soaps in particular. Meanwhile, the first half-hour of “The Young and the Restless” is expected to air before being broken into by CBS News coverage. The entire episode will be available later in the evening via Paramount+ and CBS On Demand.

“We’re looking at the process of being able to look at the report … as well as closing the loop on any potential witnesses,” said Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson (D, Mississippi) last week when questioned on when the next hearing would take place.

According to Politico, Thompson noted that the intention to continue the hearings is so they can create an interim report by mid-October, with a finalized report planned by the end of the year. “We sunset at the end of December,” CBS News reports Thompson said.

With “Days of our Lives” now airing exclusively on Peacock, the show will be released on schedule and without interruption.
