During the week of July 25-29, 2022, every daytime broadcast series saw significant gains over the same week last year with “The Price is Right” (3.785 million / 4.362 million) leading the pack, gaining +235,000 and +331,000, respectively, for each half hour. In fact, the game show which aired reruns on four of the five-day broadcast week was also up week to week, gaining +109,000 and +141,000 viewers, respectively.
“The Bold and the Beautiful” (3.174 million) was the standout performer for the week, tying for number one in both Women 18-49 and Women 25-54 rating. The series tied for number one in Women 25-54 with the second half-hour of “The Price is Right,” each with a 0.7 rating, respectively, and beat out lead-in “The Young and the Restless” (3.464 million) in the demo. The two soap operas did, however, tie for number one in Women 18-49 with both half hours of “The Price is Right,” each with a 0.4 rating.
“The View” (2.309 million) had a good week, gaining +85,000 viewers week to week and +120,000 viewers over the same week last year. Meanwhile, “General Hospital” (2.135 million) was down week to week, losing -17,000 viewers while seeing a year to year gain of +63,000.
“Days of our Lives” (1.670 million), “TODAY 3rd Hour” (1.985 million) and “TODAY with Hoda & Jenna” (1.432 million) did not air during the same week last year due to NBC’s coverage of the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympic games.
