‘Midnight, Texas’ Canceled by NBC, Final Episode Airs Tonight

Dylan Bruce ("As The World Turns"), Jaime Ray Newman ("General Hospital") and Josh Kelly ("One Life to Live") done in "Midnight, Texas."

Starring several soap alums, including Dylan Bruce (“As The World Turns”), Jaime Ray Newman (“General Hospital”) and Josh Kelly (“One Life to Live”), supernatural thriller “Midnight, Texas” will not continue beyond its second season and will conclude after tonight’s finale episode.

Based on the best-selling book series by Charlaine Harris (author of the novels that inspired “True Blood”), takes a journey into a remote Texas town where nothing is what it seems. In Midnight, Texas, being normal is strange and only outsiders fit in. It’s a mysterious safe haven for those who are different — a perfect place for anyone looking to hide from the outside world.

“Midnight, Texas” stars François Arnaud (“The Borgias”) as Manfred Bernardo, a charming, powerful psychic who can communicate with spirits and finds safety in Midnight surrounding himself with both human and supernatural allies.

Bruce plays Bobo Winthrop, a proprietor of Midnight’s local pawn shop; Kelly plays Walker Chisum, a demon hunter and love interest of Joe Strong (Jason Lewis, “Sex and the City”), an angel who knows all of Midnight’s secrets having been around for millennia; and Newman appears as Patience Lucero, co-owner of a haunted hotel.

The series also stars Parisa Fitz-Henley (“Luke Cage”) as Fiji Cavanaugh, a witch who owns the local Wiccan shop; Arielle Kebbel (“Ballers”) as Olivia Charity, a mysterious assassin with a weapon for every occasion; and Peter Mensah (“True Blood”) who plays Lemuel Bridger, a wise vampire with a long history in Midnight.

“Midnight, Texas” airs its final episode tonight at 8:00 p.m. EST on NBC.
