The Bold and the Beautiful” will be down yet another Forrester. Ingo Rademacher (Thorne) has announced he has decided not to renew his contract with the CBS Daytime drama series after just a year on the show.

In a statement released on his Instagram on Saturday, Rademacher addressed fans who noticed his name no longer part of the contract cast list during the closing credits in recent weeks. He noted that it was his decision to leave the series and that he’ll finish taping in January. Until then, the actor plans to continue spending time with his family at their Hawaii-based home where he’s spent the last two months working on the property. Leaving on good terms, the actor says he is open to a return should he be asked back in the future.

Before joining “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2017, Rademacher played Jasper “Jax” Jacks on ABC’s “General Hospital” on several occasions from 1997 to 2017. He was a contestant on season 16 of “Dancing with the Stars,” where he placed 5th. His big acting break came in the early 1990s when he played Sean Hayden in the defunct Australian soap opera, “Paradise Beach.”

“It is true what you are hearing and I think it’s time to set the record straight,” said Rademacher in his posting. “I have decided to not continue with my contract on The Bold and The Beautiful and I’ll be finishing up my last episodes in January. I want to thank Brad Bell (we’ve been communicating) the entire show and cast (truly awesome people) and also CBS for a fun year of playing Thorne. We are parting on good terms and with the possibility of a return. We shall see what the new year brings. Yes, I have been in Hawaii for the last 2 month with my family working on my property and will continue to stay here throughout January but then it’s back to LA.”
