Hallmark Channel Creates Perfect ‘AMC’ Reunion With ‘Christmas Made to Order’

Catch both J.R. Chandler's from ABC's "All My Children" in the Hallmark Channel movie, "Christmas Made to Order."

In a casting coup for the ages, Hallmark Channel has either intentionally, or unintentionally, given fans of “All My Children” alums Jonathan Bennett (“Mean Girls”) and Jacob Young (“The Bold and the Beautiful”) the ultimate present for Christmas. The actors, who both portrayed J.R. Chandler at key stages throughout the soap opera rapid aging syndrome (SORAS) process on “AMC” will appear for the first time together in the original movie, “Christmas Made to Order,” premiering Sunday, December 23 on the network.

In the TV movie, Bennett plays architect and Christmas amateur Steven, who finds himself hosting his family for Christmas. As a result, he recruits holiday coordinator Gretchen (played by Hallmark favorite Alexa PenaVega) to bring holiday joy to his home. Gretchen’s expert Christmas spirit brings Steven’s family together, but neither expected it to bring them closer to each other. After a great opportunity presents itself to Gretchen, she and Steven must decide what’s really important in life.

Young will play Jeff, the brother of Bennett’s character.

“Christmas Made to Order” premieres Sunday, December 23 at 8:00 p.m. EST/7:00 p.m. CST on Hallmark Channel. Check local listings.
