Canceled 2017-18 NBC Shows: ‘The Night Shift,’ ‘Taken,’ ‘Rise’ and More

NBC has officially canceled five shows from the 2017-18 television season. "Shades of Blue" will also conclude after three seasons.

As NBC announced its new schedule for the 2018-19 television season, the network also announced the official cancellation of several shows, including the recently launched drama “Rise” and the TV version of “Taken,” which lasted only two seasons.

While not technically “canceled” in the traditional sense, “Shades of Blue” (starring Jennifer Lopez) will conclude after its third season, which begins airing Sunday, June 17 at 10:00 p.m. Still awaiting their fate (as of this writing) include the comedy “Champions” and drama “Timeless.”
