(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Popular duo returns to Pine Valley this August.

Kendall Hart returns to “All My Children” full-time beginning on Monday, August 9. Alicia Minshew, who debuted in the role of Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) first born on January 2002, has been on maternity leave since last November after giving birth to daughter, Willow Lenora. The popular actress has relocated with her family, including Manhattan based restaurateur and husband Richie Herschenfeld, to Los Angeles. Look for Minshew to remain with the ABC daytime drama well into 2011.

Exactly one week later, on August 16, Minshew’s co-star Thorsten Kaye returns for a limited run as Kendall’s husband, Zach Slater. Kaye, who joined the soap in 2004, and “AMC” parted ways late last year correlating with the soaps production move west. Kaye’s partner Susan Haskell currently plays Marty Saybrooke on “One Life to Live.” Although the Emmy-winner is enjoying some serious time on Llanview’s back-burner, Haskell recently re-signed with the New York based soap. Despite that fact and the tag “limited run,” Kaye’s status with “AMC” appears to be up in the air. Soap Opera Digest recently reported that ABC has reached out to the actor concerning a deal to keep him in Pine Valley.

Following the Slater’s December 2009 exit, Kaye and Minshew brought the bruised and battered couple back to “AMC” briefly last April.

While there aren’t many story specifics out at the moment, we can tell you that upon her return Kendall will immediately find herself in the middle of some Ryan, Greenlee, and David (Cameron Mathison, Rebecca Budig, and Vincent Irizarry) drama, as usual (at least the Ryan and Greenlee part). Also look for some enlightening personal details to come out when sister’s Kendall and Bianca (Christina Bennett Lind) come face to face in Pine Valley.

“All My Children” airs Weekdays on ABC. “AMC” also airs 24/7 online at ABC.com.
