(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — The latest July comings and goings for “One Life to Live.”

Llanview is about to get a little fresher when former “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star Janet Hubert returns to “One Life to Live” as Layla and Evangeline’s mother Lisa Williamson, beginning Friday, July 9th. However, unlike her last visit, expect the actress to be sticking around for a little while. Hubert played Will Smith’s aunt Vivian Banks on the popular NBC sitcom from 1990-93, before being fired from the show.

Look for Layla and Cris to break the news of their engagement to her mother, who has some news of her own to deliver. Evangeline, stuck in a coma since being attacked by white supremacists back in 2007, has taken a turn for the worse and has been placed on life support. The development becomes even harder for Layla when she learns her big sis has a living will, which literally places her sibling’s life in her hands. Furthermore, Vang’s last wishes conflict with her mother, who is reluctant to let go of her eldest daughter…placing Layla between a rock and a hard place. Fans can also expect Mrs. Williamson to become involved (albeit indirectly) in another Llanview story, in which a certain person panics when she calls and asks for someone whose name we have been hearing a lot lately.

Breaking up may be hard to do, but moving to the opposite end of the country may help mend the broken hearted. On Thursday, July 15th, Markko tells Langston that he has accepted a scholarship from UCLA and must leave right away. This comes after Langston asks her former beau if the fact that they both still care for one another means anything. But never fear, Jason Tam is still expected to return to the role he originated in early fall once his stint in a summer theater camp wraps up.

Are Viki and Charlie about to ride off into the summer sunset? On Wednesday, July 21st, the husband and wife duo decide they need to leave Llanview for a little rest and relaxation in the tropical Caribbean. But is that part of Erika Slezak‘s annual summer vacation, or just a brief break from taping? Stay tuned…

Bull’s (David Mogentale) days of holding Llanview’s teenagers hostage comes to an end on Tuesday, July 6th, when he is shot and mortally wounded during a shoot-out at an abandoned barn with Llanview’s Public Enemy #1 — Todd Manning.

Roya Shanks will play “Constituent #2” on Wednesday, July 7th. Back in 2004, Shanks played vixen Jillian Masters on “OLTL.”

Erinn Holmes reprises her recurring role of “Nurse #1” on Wednesday, July 28th, when someone may be in need of some medical attention.

Also on the 28th, Betsy Spina returns as Rita, the Llanview P.D. receptionist. Rita was last seen working at her desk back in May.

David A. Gregory (Ford) has listed his character’s airdates on his Facebook page for the month of July, which include the 2nd, 6th, 7th, 8th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th, and 29th.

Look for more Greg scenes coming up as Terrell Tilford tweeted the following on June 22nd: “3 more scenes to shoot, then off to prep tonite’s cuisine, gingered salmon!!! Yum!!!” Also, Kristen Alderson (Starr) taped last on July 2nd.

Soap Opera Digest is celebrating the return of David Vickers’ (Tuc Waktins) red, white, and blue speedo. Click here.

Brett Claywell (ex-Kyle) recently tweeted that he didn’t get the role on “Desperate Housewives” that he recently auditioned for.

Speculation persists that Daytime Emmy Award Winning “As the World Turns” actor Michael Park is headed to Llanview this fall as a resurrected Daniel Woleck. However, there has been no confirmation of the rumors, which sound a little too good to believe at this point.

And “One Life to Live” has released several new casting calls recently. The first is for the role of a “Moroccan Guard.” The scene opens with the guard telling “Robert” that the Mayor can’t help him now that he is on the other side of the world from Llanview. Robert pleads with the Guard to tell him where he is, to which he replies that he should know since he has been there before. However, Robert says that that doesn’t tell him much. When the Guard tells Robert to think back, he realizes that he must be back in Morocco. The Guard says that he is right and that this time “Nobody is coming for you Thompson.” Robert replies that his last name is Richards. As the scene ends, the Guard tells Robert to make himself at home, since it’s almost dinner time.

The second script is for that of a “Conseiller Municipal,” who appears to be performing a marriage ceremony for a couple. Yet another script is for the role of “Randy.” This script is said to involve Randy and a girl commenting on how they are the only African-Americans setting in a restaurant. And the last new script was a reissue of the “TJ” script, which you can read a summary of here, labeled as being a “Wide Release” casting call (the script for Randy is listed in the same way).

While those characters involved in the last three scripts remains in doubt, it appears a safe bet that the first one involves David Vickers.
