(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “One Life to Live” confirms two cast departures, a new character’s first airdate is changed, two new castings calls are issued, and the cast celebrates moving into their new studio, in this edition of Llanview Gossip.

As SON told you last week, Daphnee Duplaix (Rachel) has been fired by the soap, while Amanda Setton (Kim) has chosen not to sign a new contract. Now, both exits have been confirmed by “One Life to Live,” according to ABC Soaps in Depth. There are currently no plans to recast the role of stripper Kimberly Andrews; the role is being left open in case the actress chooses to reprise the character at some point in the future. Setton, who has decided to try her luck at landing a role in a new television pilot in Los Angeles, reportedly turned down an multi-year contract and a raise (she had had a short-term contract with the show). As for the character of Rachel Gannon, it is appearing less likely that she will recast either.

Although Kim may not be long for Llanview, look for her to catch up with Leah and Laudine, two of her pals from Vegas, in the coming weeks. While former Miss Teen USA and “All My Children” star Taylor Gildersleeve has been cast in the role of Leah, the name of the actress tapped to portray Laudine is unknown at this time. It had been earlier reported that Gildersleeve would first air on March 15th, however SON has learned that the ex-beauty queen will actually make her Llanview debut on Wednesday, March 10th. Look for the pole dancers to ask Kim how she can marry someone she doesn’t love.

“One Life to Live” is gearing up for its upcoming teen musical in May by releasing a few new casting calls. “Nate” is a high school junior and transfer student at Llanview High, who gets cast in the big school performance as “Rick” (rumored to be Cole). He also talks about wanting to meet “Michelle’s” (Danielle) father so he can understand what it’s like to have a psycho as a dad. “Jeff” (Matthew) picks up on the tension between the two teens and tells Nate that he will soon regret wanting to meet her father.

And “Zoey” is said to be a high-strung girl who is the head of the prom committee. She wants “Antonio” (Cristian) to be one of the chaperone’s and take a prom ticket.

Also ABC Soaps in Depth speculates that the recent casting call for “Time” (actually “Glenn”) may actually be a cover for a Zane (Kelly’s son) recast. However, that is only a RUMOR at this time.

Remember that, as with all “One Life to Live” casting calls, the names are changed to an attempt to throw off viewers.

Martin Samuel played the part of Emile Munroe, the man who picked up Adriana at a café in Paris last week.

Paul Rolfes reprised his recurring role of Dr. Gangemi on February 19th when Stacy’s baby Sierra Rose was brought to the hospital by Gigi and Schuyler.

Viki takes her (temporary) leave from Llanview beginning Friday, March 12th when she tells Charlie that she is going to London with Bree for a few weeks. The move corresponds with Erika Slezak‘s brief leave of absence from the show beginning late last month to have back surgery.
