(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Despite airing original episodes of its daytime drama lineup on Memorial Day (Monday, May 29), CBS’ “As The World Turns,” “Guiding Light” and “The Young and the Restless” were the only soaps to increase their total viewing audience during the week of May 25-29, 2009. “The Bold and the Beautiful” lost a mere 3,000 viewers week-to-week. “The Young and the Restless” remains daytime’s number one drama series with a gain of 120,000 viewers week-to-week and 48,000 viewers year-to-year. The drama is also up in Women 18-49.

ABC’s lineup of “All My Children,” “General Hospital” and “One Life to Live” are down collectively by 342,000 viewers week-to-week and 912,000 viewers year-to-year. “GH” lost a hefty 330,000 viewers from the same week last year.

NBC’s “Days of our Lives” gained 136,000 viewers week-to-week and lost a mere 4,000 viewers year-to-year.
