(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Jack Wagner, 52, is a soap opera legend and singer, but for millions of viewers he’s a dancing star courtesy of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars.” The actor joined the 14th cycle (season) of the reality-competition series along with such celebrities as Melissa Gilbert (actor, “Little House on the Prairie”), Sherri Shepherd (talk show host and actress, “The View”), Jaleel White (actor, “Family Matters”), Gladys Knight (singer), Donald Driver (NFL star, “Green Bay Packers”), William Levy (latin soap star), Katherine Jenkins (opera star), Gavin DeGraw (singer), Martina Navratilova (tennis star), Roshon Fegan (actor, “Shake It Up!) and Maria Menounos (TV host and correspondent), but what fans truly want to know is if Wagner is heading back to ABC’s “General Hospital” after being taken off contract by CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” in early February.
In promotion of “Dancing’s” current season each celebrity is taking part in “You Tweeted, They Answered,” a taped segment in which they answer questions provided to them by “Dancing with the Stars’” Twitter followers (@DancingABC). Of the three questions Wagner answered none was as attention grabbing for soap fans, in particular those watching “General Hospital” (in which Wagner portrayed Frisco Jones off and on from 1983 to 1995), as the one pertaining to his possible return to the soap that put him on the map. When asked if he “would you ever consider coming back to “General Hospital,” Wagner stated “Frisco’s never dead, man! He’s right here! Yeah!” While that isn’t an outright yes, or much of an answer in itself, it does help that “Dancing” is on the same network as “GH” and with Kristina Wagner (Felicia Jones) reportedly returning to the soap in late April the possibilities are endless. If you want to ask Wagner your own question, he’s always available online @JackWagnerHPK.
In addition to his Emmy nominated stint on “General Hospital,” Wagner portrayed the Emmy nominated role of Dominick “Nick” Marone on CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and was the much beloved and hated Dr. Peter Burns on the FOX primetime soap “Melrose Place.” Other soap stints include appearances in NBC’s short-lived primetime soap “Titans” and daytime soap “Sunset Beach.”

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Viewers of “All My Children” remember Michael B. Jordan as the memorable Reggie Montgomery, the adopted son of Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey), who first made waves in Pine Valley in early 2003. This weekend, the 24-year old actor added an impressive notch to his professional belt. On February 3, Jordan landed on the big-screen in his first leading role in a motion picture (alongside Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell and Michael Kelly). That motion picture, the science-fiction thriller “Chronicle,” topped the United States Box Office for the weekend. Although the race is very close, early estimates have “Chronicle” just topping “Woman in Black,” which stars Daniel Radcliffe, with an estimated 22 million dollar total. The film exceeded expectations of it grossing anywhere from 8 to 15 million dollars in its first weekend in theaters.
Since his early departure from the cancelled ABC serial in June 2006, the talented Jordan has worked steadily. Right now he can be seen in another motion picture currently in theater’s, George Lucas‘ war epic “Red Tails.” Before joining “AMC,” Jordan starred on HBO’s “The Wire.” He has appeared on 26 episodes of NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” and 16 episodes of the networks “Parenthood” since 2009. If “Parenthood” should make it to a fourth season, Jordan may return to continue the popular role of Alex, Haddie’s (Sarah Ramos) ex-boyfriend. Jordan’s had memorable guest-star stints on CBS’ “CSI,” “Cold Case,” and “Without a Trace,” USA’s “Burn Notice, FOX’s “Bones” and “Lie to Me,” as well as NBC’s “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” He’ll be showing up on an upcoming episode of FOX’s “House.”
“Chronicle” follows three high school students who make an incredible discovery, leading to their developing uncanny powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Noting the nations thirst for New Jersey based reality entertainment, in the summer of 2010, the cable network Oxygen jumped into the fray with “Jersey Couture.” Except for being based in New Jersey, viewers will not see much similarities between this series and the eccentricities of Bravo‘s “Real Housewives of New Jersey” and MTV‘s “Jersey Shore.” “Jersey Couture” rather takes a page from TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress.” Both programs share the same producers. This reality series follows the fun and drama surrounding the Scali family (and their customers) as they run Diane & Co., one of New Jersey’s premiere dress boutiques.
When the series debuts its second season, Diane Scali and daytime fans will be excited to see a familiar face or two walk into the New Jersey boutique. Former “All My Children” star Alicia Minshew, who played Kendall Hart on the cancelled serial from 2002 to 2011, stops by Diane & Co. looking for some red-carpet looks. Minshew brings along former co-star Ricky Paull Goldin (who has starred on”Another World,” “Guiding Light” and “AMC”) to assist on her mission.
The following is the full synopsis of the two half-hour installments marking the season premiere of “Jersey Couture” airing on Tuesday, February 7 on Oxygen:
10:00 P.M. ET/PT (Episode Title: Say Yes to Excess): Three clients come to Diane & Co. to look for the perfect dress for their individual events. Chelsea wants to be the belle of the ball at the Marine Corps Ball, Tenin is going to her album release party and wants all eyes on her when she walks into the room and Alexandra – who hasn’t worn a dress in 20 years – needs the perfect number for her book launch party in Texas. If that wasn’t enough to keep the Scali ladies busy, Kimberly is a few weeks away from having a baby, and she’s still working in heels. She is ready for a break, but Christina doesn’t want to be stuck doing all the work. The sisters decide to try to talk Diane into letting them hire an assistant. Will Diane go for it?
10:30 P.M. ET/PT (Episode Title: All My Dresses): Diane is in for the surprise of a lifetime when one of her favorite “All My Children” actors, Alicia Minshew, comes in to the store looking for dresses for her red carpet events. Is Alicia ready for red carpet glam Jersey style? Later, a pageant princess battles with her mom over her pricey dream dress. How will the Scalis handle the dresses and the drama this season?

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “Revenge” is one of television’s biggest new hits and a critical darling. Unfortunately, we at Soap Opera Network have not been giving it the attention it so rightfully deserved, until now. As one of the only dramas ABC can cite as a success on its new primetime schedule, the network has put together a lengthy “catch up” montage for viewers who have yet to discover this little gem of a soap opera.
“Revenge” airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on the ABC Television Network.
Nadia Bjorlin introduces Soap Opera Network viewers to the world of “Dirty Soap,” the new E! Entertainment Television reality show where viewers get a glimpse at the real lives of soap stars. “Dirty Soap” airs Sundays at 10:00 PM ET on E!
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “One Life to Live” remembered the recent passing of the show’s long-time director David Pressman by dedicating the Tuesday, September 27 episode of the soap in his memory.
Pressman, who died on Monday, August 29 at the age of 97, served as director for “One Life” from 1970-1998. Upon retiring, he was soon asked to return for a time to help train the soap’s younger actors. Also in 1998, Pressman returned to his acting roots when he played the Shakespeare-quoting homeless man Bernie Hopper on “OLTL.” He later reprised the role in 2003.
Nominated for several Daytime Emmy Awards, Pressman won for Best Directing in 1976, 1983, and 1984. Prior to joining “One Life to Live,” he also directed several episode of “Another World.”
You can watch the short tribute to him in the clip at the link below:
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — For the second time this year, comedienne Chelsea Handler singles out the recently canceled ABC soap saying that “‘One Life to Live‘ is one of the soaps that is headed to an early grave and, unlike many of its characters, it won’t be able to come back as its separated at birth evil, retarded twin.” And while the joke was an obvious reference to the “Tale of Two Todd’s” storyline, it wasn’t the only current plot on the soap targeted by Handler on her E! show “Chelsea Lately.”
Handler also took a jab at the fan favorite stuffed porcupine Morris, whom she affectionately refers to as that “stuffed little buck-toothed nugget.” In a clip from the soap featuring Cutter (Josh Kelly) and Aubrey (Terri Conn) talking about the furry little guy, which he bought at a flea market from Roxy (Ilene Kristen), the comic jokes that due to budget cutbacks [Morris] had to replace the third actor that was supposed to be in the scene. She even manages to take a jab at actor James Franco, who has recurring guest role on “General Hospital,” at the end of clip.
In April of this Handler poked fun at “One Life’s” “cougar” storyline involving Robin Strasser (ex-Dorian) and Tuc Watkins (ex-David), claiming the show had “gone to far” with the story.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — With his character murdered only weeks after finding out he was really Todd Manning’s (Roger Howarth) twin brother Victor Lord, Jr. and not the reformed rapist himself, Trevor St. John taped his final scenes on “One Life to Live” on July 22 after eight years on the show. Now that he has already left the canvas, aside from some possible flashbacks scenes, his former “One Life” co-stars take a few moments to wish him well and recall what they learned from him over the years.
Kristen Alderson (Starr), Kassie Depaiva (Blair), Kelley Missal (Dani), and Andrew Trischitta (Jack) all took part in the video send-off for St. John, wishing him well and recalling what they have learned from him over the years.
