Susan Lucci’s Erica Kane was generally the glue that held “All My Children’s” Kendall Hart Slater (Alicia Minshew) and Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey) together, but this time, the two are teaming up solo! And if you’re a fan of either of the actors, who are known for their real-life silliness and humor that they rarely had the chance to show onscreen in Pine Valley, then you definitely don’t want to miss it.

Earlier in the winter it was announced that former “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member Dina Manzo has joined the cast of the upcoming online soap opera, “Tainted Dreams.” With drama that can only rival the antics seen on soap operas encompassing the New Jersey edition of the popular Bravo “Real Housewives” franchise, Manzo decided that enough was enough by the close of Season 2 and bid adieu. [Manzo's siblings, Caroline and Chris, remain regulars on the series.] Following her “Real Housewives” exit, Manzo landed the more easy-going reality series “Dina’s Party” on HGTV. On her impending move to scripted serial drama, Manzo – a long-time “One Life to Live” fan – exclaims to Celebuzz.com that she is “excited to be part of a project centered around the rich, proud heritage of NYC-based daytime drama.”
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Viewers of “All My Children” remember Michael B. Jordan as the memorable Reggie Montgomery, the adopted son of Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey), who first made waves in Pine Valley in early 2003. This weekend, the 24-year old actor added an impressive notch to his professional belt. On February 3, Jordan landed on the big-screen in his first leading role in a motion picture (alongside Dane DeHaan, Alex Russell and Michael Kelly). That motion picture, the science-fiction thriller “Chronicle,” topped the United States Box Office for the weekend. Although the race is very close, early estimates have “Chronicle” just topping “Woman in Black,” which stars Daniel Radcliffe, with an estimated 22 million dollar total. The film exceeded expectations of it grossing anywhere from 8 to 15 million dollars in its first weekend in theaters.
Since his early departure from the cancelled ABC serial in June 2006, the talented Jordan has worked steadily. Right now he can be seen in another motion picture currently in theater’s, George Lucas‘ war epic “Red Tails.” Before joining “AMC,” Jordan starred on HBO’s “The Wire.” He has appeared on 26 episodes of NBC’s “Friday Night Lights” and 16 episodes of the networks “Parenthood” since 2009. If “Parenthood” should make it to a fourth season, Jordan may return to continue the popular role of Alex, Haddie’s (Sarah Ramos) ex-boyfriend. Jordan’s had memorable guest-star stints on CBS’ “CSI,” “Cold Case,” and “Without a Trace,” USA’s “Burn Notice, FOX’s “Bones” and “Lie to Me,” as well as NBC’s “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” He’ll be showing up on an upcoming episode of FOX’s “House.”
“Chronicle” follows three high school students who make an incredible discovery, leading to their developing uncanny powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over.

Williams, Willey, Mathison, Irizarry and Young will remain with the tour as it hits the midwest and have added some feminine energy to the mix this time around. Look for the beautiful Alicia Minshew (ex-Kendall) to attend this weekends events. The opportunity to say thank you and goodbye to the loyal fans for potentially the last time appealed to the actress who notes to Soaps In Depth, “when am I going to have [another] chance to do stuff with [AMC] fans?” Taking note of the attractive slate of former co-stars attending, the actress added “when I saw who was doing it, I thought, ‘My boys! My boys are doing it, so I have to go be with my boys!’”

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Moments before the announcement that production company Prospect Part had licensed “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” from ABC and saved it from imminent cancellation, it was announced that Debbi Morgan (Angie) had already signed on to “The Young and the Restless.” She will debut on the popular CBS soap this fall. Not too long after that, Jacob Young (JR) announced that he was unable to ignore the call back to “The Bold and the Beautiful.” He returns as Rick Forrester on Monday, September 26. At this moment, Prospect Park is still trying to work out a deal with the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) that will allow them to begin negotiating with actors for a hopeful January 2012 relaunch of both ABC soaps. This leaves the actors of “AMC” with free time and a contract with ABC that dissolved earlier this week. In the September 13, 2011 issues of Soap Opera Digest and Soap Opera Weekly, it is revealed that Alicia Minshew and Chrishell Stause have also both been contacted to join another soap.
Both actresses declined. Minshew, who joined the cast of “AMC” in 2002 as Kendall Hart, apparently would like to remain with the show if it’s feasible. The Emmy nominated actress does not want to make a commitment to another daytime drama without giving Prospect Park a fair chance to iron things out behind the scenes. Stause, who joined the cast of “AMC” in 2005 as Amanda Dillon, is planning to take advantage of being in the entertainment capital of the world, Los Angeles. The stunning young actress who was scheduled to split ways with the soap in 2010 to go to Los Angeles changed her mind when it was announced “AMC” would be joining her on the West Coast. Stause does not rule out a return to daytime television in the future, but wants to try out different formats of entertainment for the foreseeable future.
Various actor interviews also indicate that red-hot commodity Susan Lucci (Erica), as well as long-time “AMC” stars Walt Willey (Jack), Michael E. Knight (Tad), Vincent Irizarry (David) and expert schmoozer Cameron Mathison (Ryan) share Minshew’s willingness to wait a while longer for Prospect Park to get everything aligned before making any major commitments that could impede the potential to join a relaunch of the soap. Mathison, in the meantime, has taken up one more part-time hosting job. Beginning on October 3, fans can see the “Good Morning America” correspondent hosting a new reality-series, “Ultimate Proposal,” a web-series that will be produced by Yahoo! The star who joined “AMC” in 1997 is also slated to begin filming a Lifetime made-for-television movie, “The Wife He Met Online,” opposite former “AMC” star Sydney Penny (ex-Julia). Lucci, meanwhile, has denounced rumors that she’s going to ABC’s prime-time series “Desperate Housewives” but has admitted to having had a good talk with its executive producer Marc Cherry. While waiting for things to take shape, the stunning 64-year old does plan on taking advantage of the time that has opened up and is pondering a return to the stage.
Production of “AMC” for ABC network airings ended earlier this week. The last episode of “AMC” on the ABC network is scheduled to air on Friday, September 23.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Monday, September 5, 2011 will mark the final Labor Day repeat airing of ABC’s canceled daytime dramas “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” and likely the second to last time “General Hospital” will air one during its current 3:00 PM ET/2:00 PM PT timeslot as Katie Couric takes over “GH’s” slot beginning in September 2012.
Since debuting re-runs several years ago, the network has been able to utilize the “AMC,” “GH” and “OLTL” repeats to help define important moments in each soaps current storylines. For “All My Children” in particular, the episode set to air is expected to set the course towards the soaps ABC series finale on Friday, September 23. Only “One Life to Live” will air an episode older than a few weeks as both “General Hospital” and “AMC” will air episodes that aired two weeks ago.
