The Price is Right
ALL THINGS RELATED

As we first reported back in June, CBS' "The Price is Right" is gearing up for its second male model search, but this time with a twist. Instead of searching for male model hopefuls solely in and around the Los Angeles area, as they did back in 2012 for the first go around, "Price" has widened its search across America with casting calls in LA, Boston, Philadelphia, Dallas and Spartanburg, S.C., which kicked off the nationwide search on Saturday, August 16. The prize is a week-long spot on the game show hosted by Drew Carey. "Days of our Lives" star Robert Scott Wilson was the winner of the first competition.

If you think you’re one of the biggest fans of the CBS Daytime lineup — including “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The Talk,” “Let’s Make a Deal,” and “The Price Is Right,” then you just might have a chance to win something pretty spectacular: The gift bag the network gave out at its Emmy party!
Although CBS is not broadcasting the awards itself this year, the network announced today that it'll celebrate "The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" with six days of Twitter chats with several of its stars, producers and executives from CBS Daytime's "The Young and the Restless," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "The Talk," "Let's Make a Deal" and "The Price is Right." The chats will take place every weekday beginning Friday, June 13 and running through Friday, June 20, leading up to daytime’s biggest night on Sunday, June 22.While he isn't nominated for an Emmy this year, "B&B's" Sean Kanan kicks things off beginning tomorrow, June 13, which also happens to coincide with his return to the world's most watched daytime soap opera when his character Deacon Sharpe reunites with his daughter, Hope Logan (Kim Matula). Also taking part in Twitter chats are "Y&R's" Steve Burton (Dylan McAvoy), Doug Davidson...
In case you were wondering how the networks and the shows stacked up when nominees for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards were announced this morning, Soap Opera Network has you covered! As previously reported, CBS leads the pack with 61 nominations overall with "The Young and the Restless" in particular leading all shows with 26 nominations. But, how do the other networks and shows stack up?
Like it did last year, CBS swept "The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" nominations with 61 nominations in total, leading all networks. This was an increase from the 49 nominations it received last year. "The Young and the Restless" led the way for the network with 26 nominations overall. It was followed by "The Bold and the Beautiful" with 18. Like last year, "The Talk" had 5 nominations. "CBS Sunday Morning" and "Let's Make a Deal" each received 3 nominations, while "The Price is Right" had 2 and "CBS This Morning" had 1.When CBS opted to honor the life of Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor, "Y&R) with a special tribute airing in place of an original episode of the daytime soap, the decision resulted in an Emmy nomination for the emotional road down memory lane.
“The Price Is Right” has crossed over with “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” and “B&B” and “Y&R” just recently did a crossover storyline based around a major fashion show. But just because it's recently been done doesn't mean viewers should expect the CBS Daytime shows to stop intertwining anytime soon, as there’s one more crossover already added to the docket: “Let’s Make a Deal’s” Jonathan Mangum is heading to “The Bold and the Beautiful!”
