For the week of June 10-14, 2013, CBS Daytime once again led all networks in the households and total viewers. Consisting of soap operas “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” game shows “Let’s Make a Deal” and “The Price is Right” and talk show “The Talk,” CBS was up week-to-week in viewers and the Women 25-54 demo. “Y&R” was up 5% in both viewers and women 25-54, while “B&B” was up 4% in viewers and 7% in women 25-54.

Going into Sunday’s Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards telecast, CBS Daytime was the most honored network with 51 nominations. By the end of the night, the network went home with 21 statues (eight during broadcast and 13 from creative arts on Friday) covering all genres including soap operas “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” game shows “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal” and talk show “The Talk.”

As previously reported, “The Young and the Restless’” Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) will be appearing in the Monday, June 17 “engaged couples” edition of CBS’ “The Price is Right.” The actor first revealed on Wednesday, May 1 that he had been filming on the “TPIR” set for a segment of the popular game show where tweeted, ”Taping #TPIR today with Gwen, Manuela and Amber .. #ChicksWithAttitude #CWA @CBSdaytime @official_yandr.” The tweet was accompanied by a link to a post on his Facebook page, which showed the beautiful ladies on the set of “TPIR” while they weren’t filming.

“The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” have had their fair share of daddy-centric storylines, and now two of CBS Daytime’s other shows are trying to catch up! Just in time for Father’s Day, both “The Talk” and “The Price is Right” will be featuring special “dad” episodes, and the latter will also be airing a special “high school graduates” episode.

Starting Monday, June 10 and extending all week long, “The Talk” co-hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood will take part in a game called “Who’s Your Daddy?” where a mystery celebrity father will make a surprise appearance each day. Could it be Tom Cruise? Ben Affleck? Or even a hunky “Y&R” or “B&B” dad? You’ll have to tune in each day to find out!

Robert Scott Wilson has taken “All My Children” by storm as Opal Cortlandt’s (Jill Larson) son, Pete Cortlandt. So much so, that he’s fast becoming a Pine Valley tycoon even his own father, Palmer, wouldn’t have messed with!

“He’s such a businessman; he loves a challenge, and he loves to… just have that winning attitude,” says Wilson of his alter ego’s go-get-em attitude — a frame of mind that is definitely already starting to get the junior mogul into a lot of trouble. For instance, not only is he chasing after Celia (Jordan Lane Price), a girl who comes with heaps of typical soap baggage, he’s also already struck a deal with the devil — David Hayward (Vincent Irizarry) — a mere few weeks after viewers saw him cruise into town! The latter of which the actor says has created quite a buzz from fans. “They take it so personal,” he says with amusement, adding that it’s been an insanely fun storyline to play. “It’s just crazy to know all of the storylines that took place and how snaky [David] is about everything, and riding that fine line makes it really fun to play, because we’re both trying to get something from each other — but at the same time, we both have our ulterior motives.”

ALL CBS DAYTIME SHOWS FINISH THE SEASON WITH YEAR-TO-YEAR GROWTH IN VIEWERS

Daytime Lineup Also Posts May Sweep Increases in Viewers and Key Demos

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, LET’S MAKE A DEAL, THE PRICE IS RIGHT and THE TALK all finished the 2012-2013 season and May sweep with year-to-year growth in viewers.

 Compared to last season in viewers, LET’S MAKE A DEAL 1 was up +14% (2.69m from 2.36m), LET’S MAKE A DEAL 2 was up +13% (3.11m from 2.76m), THE PRICE IS RIGHT 1 was up +5% (4.48m from 4.27m), THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2 was also up +5% (5.33m from 5.08m), THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL posted an +8% gain (3.51m from 3.25m), THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS was up +0.5% (4.82m from 4.80m) while THE TALK posted growth of +10% (2.40m from 2.18m), according to Nielsen most current ratings.

Among key women demographics for the season, LET’S MAKE A DEAL 1 & 2 were up in both women 25-54 (+13%, +25% respectively) and women 18-49 (+17%, +14% respectively), THE PRICE IS RIGHT 2 gained +8% in women 25-55 while THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL was up +7% in women 25-54.

In the May sweep according to Nielsen live plus day ratings, CBS’s daytime lineup posted increases in viewers and/or key women demographics.
