On Monday, June 17, CBS' "The Talk" will celebrate "The 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards," with a special after-party that will include appearances by several of the nights biggest winners. This marks the second consecutive year in which "The Talk" pays tribute to Daytime Emmy Award winners from across all dayparts invited to appear live on the show following their industries biggest night.

Il Volo, the Italian Opera trio, have been confirmed to perform their hit song "Mas Que Amor" during the “In Memoriam” tribute of the "40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards," which will be introduced by “The Young and the Restless’” Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Hunter King (Summer Newman), Jess Walton (Jill Foster) and Corbin Bernsen, the son of the late Jeanne Cooper. The tribute is scheduled to honor the legendary actress who died last month.

In addition to announcing more presenters for the "40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards," airing LIVE on Sunday, June 16 from 8-10:00 PM ET, HLN has also named "Good Morning America's Sam Champion and their very own A.J. Hammer and Robin Meade as hosts of the telecast. Additionally, the network has announced that Hammer will host the LIVE red carpert special "Showbiz @ The Daytime Emmys," which will lead into the awards telecast. Hammer is the host of HLN's "Showbiz Tonight" series airing Mondays through Thursdays from 11:00 PM - midnight, ET.

HLN, the host network of the annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy® Awards, has announced additional presenters for the awards telecast, now in its 40th year, presented live from The Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 16, 8-10 p.m., ET/PT.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (previously incorrectly indicated by us as The National Association of Television Arts & Sciences) announced today that both CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful" and "The Young and the Restless" have received additional nominations for the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards. The category that bumped both soaps up in total counts was Outstanding Original Song for a Drama Series, which previously listed one song for "General Hospital" and one song for "Y&R" when nominations were first announced on Wednesday, May 1.

CBS' "The Bold and the Beautiful" has received a total of 15 Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award nominations during calendar year 2012. With Susan Flannery departing the series after more than 25 years portraying matriarch Stephanie Forrester on the soap, the actress received her final nomination in the category of Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. Meanwhile, former co-star Katherine Kelly Lang received her first nomination in the 26 years she's portrayed Brooke Logan on the world's most popular daily drama series.

The Daytime Entertainment Creative Arts Emmy® Awards honors the numerous crafts behind the many shows that grace Daytime television. The awards itself, however, is not broadcast on television.
