Earlier today the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, in cooperation with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, announced the Drama Performer Pre-Nominations for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards.
All entrants that submitted this year were judged by their peers via an online ballot. Eligible judges viewed clips containing work of each performer and were required to select their top 10 performer choices. In the case of the Outstanding Lead Actress and Outstanding Supporting Actor categories, there were ties this year that resulted in more than 10 pre-nominees.
The candidates below will now advance to the blue ribbon screening round, which will determine both nominees and recipients. The final nominations will be announced May 1.
While the rest of the world enjoys hearts and chocolates and flowers for Valentine’s Day, the characters on “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” will be getting a huge dose of Lovers’ Day drama!
Friday, February 14 will be filled with heartbreak on “B&B” as Liam (Scott Clifton) refuses to give up on Hope (Kim Matula) — even though she’s enjoying her very first Valentine’s Day with new lover Wyatt (Darin Brooks)! Meanwhile, certain Los Angeles residents don’t how to feel about Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge’s (Thorsten Kaye) plans to get married, with Bill (Don Diamont) going so far as to try and woo Brooke back! Will he succeed? And where will all of the drama leave Katie (Heather Tom), who is secretly yearning for Ridge and fighting the urge to follow her heart?
In its newsletter, “The Bold and the Beautiful” executive producer and head writer, Bradley P. Bell, shared the following teasers of what fans can expect for their favorite characters in the next couple of months on the CBS Daytime drama series.
Having endured the ups and downs of true love for more than two decades, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) find themselves reunited with a new and very big obstacle, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). These two star crossed lovers have forgiven and forgotten many things in their lives, but will they be able to overcome Brooke’s betrayal of her own sister? As Ridge attempts to come to grips with the news of Brooke’s latest romance, he turns to the one person who might be able to give him the understanding and comfort that he needs, Katie (Heather Tom). Meanwhile, still longing for Brooke, Bill tells her that he will not be reuniting with Katie, but will do whatever it takes to make her is own. True love, betrayal and the bonds of family test the love of Ridge, Brooke, Bill and Katie like never before. A fresh new year will be brighter for some, and not so bright for others.
As previously reported, TVGN (TV Guide Network) will begin airing encore episodes of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” weeknights at 6:30 PM ET/PT starting today. In celebration, the network will be hosting a live Twitter chat with “B&B” stars Heather Tom (Katie Logan; @BBheathertom) and Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer; @CliftonsNotes). Using hashtag #BBonTVGN, fans can interact with the duo beginning at 6:00 PM ET/3:00 PM/PT as they answer fan questions just before TVGN’s airing of their show. The actors will be using their twitter handles to interact so make sure to follow both actors on the social media website.
Unlike “The Young and the Restless,” which also airs on the network at 7:00 PM ET/PT, “B&B” will air episodes a day after airing on CBS. Therefore, the first episode scheduled to air will be the Wednesday, November 27 Thanksgiving Day themed episode which highlighted the togetherness between the Forresters, Logans, Spencers and more.
If you thought sitting down with family and friends for Thanksgiving was going to be the highlight of the week, wait until you see what “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” have in store for the holiday! Both shows have exciting episodes planned prior to the big day, as well as classic episodes set to air on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. So if turkey, stuffing and all of the fixings don’t have you falling out of your chair, these two sudsers will certainly get the job done!
He’s certainly been making a name for himself on CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” now that it’s been revealed that his character, Wyatt Fuller, is the secret son of Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and the half brother of rival Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), but in the online series “Bloomers,” which tells the story of seven 20-something friends growing up in the city of Los Angeles who aren’t ready to bloom into their 30s, Darin Brooks finds himself dealing with a different kind of family drama.
CBS Daytime has released a steamy new promo highlighting “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Adam Gregory, Jacob Young, Scott Clifton, Lawrence Saint-Victor, Zack Conroy and Texas Battle. Noticeably absent was Darin Brooks, but we can attribute that to the promo having been shot in March.
