(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Less than a week after first breaking the news that Barret Helms had wrapped up filming on “One Life to Live,” Soap Opera Network can now confirm the actor’s final airdate as Tomas Delgado’s (Ted King) long-lost son Baz Moreau.
Helms will last appear as Baz on Tuesday, September 20, exactly three months to the day after he first appeared on the show back on July 20. The actor, who finished taping last month, tweeted on July 21 that he had “just finished one of the craziest 13 week periods of my life!!”
As previously reported, 13 weeks is the length of time since beginning a contract that a soap can drop an actor no matter the initial length of said contract. The actor is not given the same courtesy (they must stay for the full duration).
Fans shouldn’t expect Baz to go out on a quiet note however, as he prepares to leave Llanview to return to Paris to be with his mother. In a tweet on August 22, Helms assured fans that he has “one more really good stint coming up!”
Keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming Soap Opera Network interview with Helms along with his former “One Life” co-star Nafessa Williams (ex-Deanna Forbes), where the two discuss their experience on the soap and its cancellation and how the series going online may not be such a bad thing for fans.

IT HAPPENED TODAY…
Joey and Kelly prepare to say goodbye to Llanview and move to London. Aubrey returns her engagement ring and learns that Joey is leaving town with Kelly and wishes them the best. Elsewhere, Kelly gives John the news of her imminent departure and urges him not to let his pride get in the way of a possible future with Natalie.
Bo visits Asa’s grave on the anniversary of his death. There he runs into Renee, and the two have a heart-to-heart about the state of the family and Bo’s feelings that he’s let them all down. Clint settles into life at Llanfair, but broods that house arrest prevents him from keeping up a tradition he’s begun since Asa’s death, which requires his presence at the mansion. Clint compels Nigel to help him slip out and go to the mansion anyway, thus violating the terms of his sentencing.
Rex returns to Llanview. Rex tells Natalie about his run-in with Kim. Natalie extracts a promise from Rex that he’ll keep Kim’s whereabouts a secret especially from Clint. Rex goes on to say that he saw Gigi again. She urged him not to give up. Natalie suggests that the meaning behind Gigi’s statement is that he shouldn’t give up on his life. Kim visits the bedside of her mysterious friend and tells her about Rex’s surprise visit to The Spotted Pony. Kim, made aware of Clint’s reversal of fortune, decides to risk the wrath of David, return to Llanview and take another shot at her ex-husband.
Dorian’s career aspirations do not mesh with David’s but he chooses to sacrifice his career to stand by Dorian. Dorian is rattled after a visit from John which sends Dorian on a mission to complete one last bit of business.
At EOD: John comes face to face with Natalie. Viki, Joey and Kelly discover that Clint has disappeared. Rex asks Gigi for a sign that Natalie’s interpretation of her last message is correct; then Clint and Nigel arrive. Kim arrives at La Boulaie to see David. A bedside photo of the person in the Kentucky hospital room implies her true identity.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — If you’re local ABC affiliate broke into “One Life to Live” and/or “General Hospital” today, you might have missed all or part of today’s episodes due to a 5.9 magnitude Earthquake that hit the east coast just before 2:00 PM. Thankfully, SOAPnet and ABC.com are here to save the day for those markets affected by the quake.
According to an ABC representative, if either show was interrupted by your local station due to Earthquake coverage it will be up to the local station to make up for it by airing the shows in a later hour or in the “overnights.” Otherwise, the episodes will be available in their entirety on SOAPnet and ABC.com’s Full Episode Player as scheduled.
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Is there something special happening on this coming Thursday’s episode (August 25) of “One Life to Live?” We’re wondering because whatever was supposed to happen got changed and now everything about the episode is being kept tight lipped by the network. Other than it being Robin Strasser‘s second to last day as Dorian Lord and a big storyline about to kick off with some interesting (that’s saying it lightly) twists, we just can’t imagine what could actually be happening in the episode that would make it such a big secret.
What we can tell you is the episode kicks off a string of daily cliffhangers and the Tale isn’t over and is only just beginning!
Are you as curious as we are? Maybe we should all just tune into the episode and find out!? What do you think will happen?

On the Next One Life to Live…
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — On Thursday, July 21, ABC Soaps in Depth reported that Kelly Sullivan had been hired as a recast Kate Howard after more than a year since we last saw the character (last played by Megan Ward). Now Soap Opera Network has learned when you can catch your first glimpse of the actress.
In In Depth‘s posting they indicated that Kate “will be looking a bit different after all that time recently spent in Paris and Milan,” but that’s only half the story! Just wait until Kate comes face-to-face with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), her high school boyfriend and supposedly the loves of each other’s lives, or she was until Sonny remembered Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil Giovinazzo) at this point last year.
In addition to “GH,” Sullivan has appeared in episodes of “As The World Turns” and “One Life to Live” along with a guest-stint in “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” She’ll appear in the film “333″ co-starring with “The Young and the Restless’” Camryn Grimes (ex-Cassie Newman) which is set for release in 2012.
Sullivan’s first airdate is scheduled for Monday, September 12.

Since debuting re-runs several years ago, the network has been able to utilize the “AMC,” “GH” and “OLTL” repeats to help define important moments in each soaps current storylines. For “All My Children” in particular, the episode set to air is expected to set the course towards the soaps ABC series finale on Friday, September 23. Only “One Life to Live” will air an episode older than a few weeks as both “General Hospital” and “AMC” will air episodes that aired two weeks ago.
