WTNH, better known as ABC8 in Stamford, CT, recently toured the set of The OnLine Network’s “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” and got some inside scoop on what’s happening on your favorite internet dramas.

The soap segment included interviews with “AMC’s” Darnell Williams (Jesse Hubbard) and Vincent Irizarry (David Hayward) and “OLTL’s” Robert S. Woods (Bo Buchanan).

“Brooke English, one of our veteran characters on the show, has had a magazine called Tempo for many years and now sort of keeping with the online and new media, she is doing an online talk show,” said Jill Larson (Opal Cortlandt, “AMC”), who WTNH also interviewed, on new storylines hitting Pine Valley.

As previously reported, Paolo Seganti (ex-Damien Grimaldi, “As The World Turns”) has joined the cast of The OnLine Network’s “One Life to Live” as Arturo Bandini, a wealthy, suave and sexy man whose family is very influential in the art world, beginning with the Thursday, June 27 episode. TOLN has released the first image of Seganti in his new role, which can be viewed above.

Joining the “OLTL” cast along with Seganti are former Procter & Gamble stars  (ex-Alison Stewart, “As The World Turns”) and  (ex-Alan Spaulding, “Guiding Light”). For more on their roles and their first airdates, click here.

In an interview published in the newest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Maria Arena Bell, the former executive producer and head writer of “The Young and the Restless,” shares that the soap submitted episodes #9,999 and #10,000 as part of their Emmy reel in the category of Outstanding Drama Series for the “40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards.”

“We felt those episodes, being sequential, were the peak of huge story,” she says. The episodes covered the mock funeral of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and the nonmarriage of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Tucker McCall (Stephen Nichols). The soap submitted episode #9,999 in the category of Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team. In addition to the “Y&R” Emmy nominations, Digest asked Bell what she thought of the “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” reboots.

Newcomer Amber Skye Noyes, whose brother, Tyler, portrayed a young CJ Roberts back in the early 1990′s on “One Life to Live,” has been cast as Michelle, Matthew Buchanan’s (Robert Gorrie) online girlfriend. Viewers will recall that Matthew and Michelle began communicating via Facebook in recent episodes. Noyes debuts on the Thursday, June 27 episode of the soap.

Alice Callahan has joined the cast in the role of Kate, a teacher who gets involved in Jack Manning’s (Andrew Trischitta) life while he attends summer school. Callahan first airs Thursday, June 27.

According to sources, the “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” head writing team changes occurred with Prospect Park deciding to release Marlene McPherson and Elizabeth Snyder (“AMC”) and Thom Racina (“OLTL”) from their contracts. This is in direct contrast to Susie Bedsow Horgan, who opted to exit her position as co-head writer of “OLTL” (with Racina) in early April, where we’re told she cited personal reasons behind her decision.
