There’s no doubt that “The Young and the Restless’” Michael Muhney (Adam Newman) is honored to have been nominated for Outstanding Leading Actor for this year’s Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, but believe it or not, he’ll actually be rather upset if he takes home the coveted award come ceremony night!

Michael Muhney has announced on Twitter that's he's signed a new contract with CBS' "The Young and the Restless" that will keep him in Genoa City as his character, Adam Newman, through at least June 2015. In a tweet to his more than 50,000 followers the actor commented, "Lots of 'Adam' to come. #gameON."

Just ask “The Young and the Restless’” Michael Muhney (Adam Newman), who verges on spending more time as his alter ego than he does himself! “With a character like Adam that’s always in the mix, the sheer content alone — the amount of pages that I memorize daily, with a front and center kind of character — it’s madness!” he says with a laugh. “But you adapt and you kind of get in your groove, and now I can’t believe how much this place feels like home.”

CBS’ acclaimed daytime show, “The Talk,” joined the long list of outlets celebrating “The Young and the Restless’” 40th anniversary with a special episode featuring some of the sudser’s most popular stars — and it was definitely a not-to-be missed event for fans of the long-running show.
On Tuesday, March 26, CBS' "The Young and the Restless" will celebrate its 40th anniversary and in honor of the event, stars from the daytime drama series will be popping up on multiple CBS Daytime programs.As previously reported, Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman), Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman Abbott), Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman), Michael Muhney (Adam Newman), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman), Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) and Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) will appear on the Monday, March 25 celebratory edition of "The Talk."
