Anyone who’s watched the past few days of “The Young and the Restless” knows that it has been heart wrenching, to say the least. The hit-and-run accident that caused the death of Billy and Chloe’s young daughter, Delia, has been center stage, and the performances that have gone along with the emotional storyline are what Emmy dreams are made of. We caught up with Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman), who not only had plenty of kudos for her onscreen best friend, Elizabeth Hendrickson, but also had a few details as to how the tragic story will affect Chelsea... and beyond.

Soap Opera Network has learned that today marked the end of Erin Chambers' stint as Melanie Daniels on CBS' "The Young and the Restless." At the end of today's episode, the character decided to drop the sexual assault charges against Adam Newman (Michael Muhney) after speaking with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), who made it clear to Melanie that there was no way Adam could have assaulted her.

Patrick Swayze died of pancreatic cancer in 2009. The fatal disease took the life of Apple CEO Steve Jobs in 2011. Even Bonnie Franklin, who guest-starred on “The Young and the Restless” as Sister Celeste just last year lost her battle with the deadly cancer in March. And Michael Muhney (Adam Newman), having lost his uncle several years ago to the very same affliction, is speaking up once again to let the world know that it’s time we put a stop to the horrific and painful cancer that claims the lives of nearly 40,000 people each year.

On Sunday, October 27, Michael Muhney (Adam Newman, "The Young and the Restless") will host "The 16th Annual L.A. Cancer Challenge" (LACC), which benefits the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research. This marks the sixth time the actor has hosted the event. LACC is one of Southern California's largest and most popular charity races with thousands attending each year.

“The Young and the Restless’” Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) may have been nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor twice before, but the veteran actor admits that the honor never, ever gets old. In fact, he says the onset of social media has actually made receiving the honor all the more spectacular! “The support we get from the fans is so immediate now, because of Facebook and Twitter and all of that, and it’s almost like they’re riding along with you. So it’s really exciting!” he says. “Everybody should have something like this in their job, where you step back and get recognized by your peers.”
