While many other Daytime Emmy nominees might celebrate being honored with a special dinner or something of the like, “The Young and the Restless’” Hunter King (Summer Newman) celebrated in a much different way: By going to math class!
Today, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences officially announced the nominees of the 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards! The list of pre-noms in the categories for Outstanding Drama Series, Lead Actor and Actress, Supporting Actor and Actress, Younger Actor and Actress and more was whittled down to just a few final contenders who will compete for the coveted National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Emmy award statuettes during the event that will be taking place on Sunday, June 22. Now that Billy Miller has played out his final scenes as “The Young and the Restless’” Billy Abbott (in a gripping finale in which both he and Michael Muhney’s Adam Newman careened off an icy road after a dramatic showdown regarding the hit and run death of Delia), former portrayer David Tom has stepped back into the role of Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) hubby. Meanwhile, viewers were shocked to see Marco Dapper return as the very-much-alive Carmine Basco on Friday, January 31! So how did the returns of both actors rate?

Soap Opera Network has learned that actor Robert Craighead is returning to CBS' "The Young and the Restless" next month as Judge Wayne in scenes with Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin), Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore), Lauralee Bell (Christine ) and Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin).

Airing Monday, December 16 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, preceded by airings of “B&B” at 6:30 PM ET/PT and “Y&R” at 7:00 PM ET/PT, the documentary tackles the history of daytime soap operas as told by those who were there during the good times, the bad times and the new times.

On Saturday, September 14, “The Young and the Restless’” Max Ehrich (Fen Baldwin), Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) and Hunter King (Summer Newman) will be on hand as part of the Los Angeles portion of the 5th annual “Get Your Licks on Route 66” adoption tour, which was founded by FIDO Friendly magazine publisher, Susan Sims. The trio will appear at the East Valley Animal shelter in Van Nuys from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM alongside Ashley Bell, the official “Licks” tour spokesperson, actress and animal lover.
