"I'm Lucas Jones. I'm your son," says an angered Lucas (Ryan Carnes) when he seemingly confronts his biological daddy this week on "General Hospital."
While several actors from "The Young and the Restless" have indirectly acknowledged the scandal surrounding Michael Muhney's (Adam Newman) firing last month and subsequent allegations he groped the breasts of Hunter King (Summer Newman) via social media, no actor has acknowledged the situation as publicly as the legendary Eric Braeden (Victor Newman).
In 2014, the stakes will be raised on ABC's "General Hospital," or at least that's what a newly released promo from the network tells you to expect in regards to the ongoing drama surrounding the return of Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough), the rivalry between Carly Corinthos Jacks (Laura Wright) and Ava Jerome (Maura West), and the Mob War that now involves Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly's son, Morgan (Bryan Craig).
On Saturday, March 8, 2014, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (HFH GLA) will host the 5th Annual General Hospital Fan Build, where fans of the daytime soap opera get an opportunity to spend a day building a home with several of their favorite cast members. The event, which is part of Habitat's entertainment partnership program, was started up by "General Hospital's" Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara) and Lisa LoCicero (Olivia Falconeri) in 2009 as a way to reward fans for their loyalty to the show, while at the same time doing a good deed.
Once the news hit that “The Young and the Restless’” Michael Muhney had been let go from the CBS soap, rumors began circling that his co-star, Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), not only could have had a hand in Muhney’s fate, but also that he influenced Maura West’s (Ava Jerome, “General Hospital;” ex-Diane Jenkins, “Y&R”) exit from the soap, as well! Upon hearing the news, both Braeden and West took to Twitter to set the rumors straight.
On Sunday, June 16, during “The 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards,” Kristen Alderson took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Starr Manning on "General Hospital."
“As the World Turns’” alums Scott DeFreitas (ex-Andy Dixon) and Maura West (ex-Carly Tenney; Ava Jerome, “General Hospital;" ex-Diane Jenkins, “The Young and the Restless") have been in the spotlight for years, and their son, Joe West, seems to be following in his parent’s footsteps!
With the returns of Roger Howarth, Kristen Alderson and Michael Easton (as new characters whose names are currently unconfirmed by ABC, although at present we're hearing the character name "Jordan" for Alderson) to the Port Charles canvas and the debut of Maura West as Ava Jerome (first airdate scheduled for Wednesday, May 8), the drama is only getting hotter on ABC's "General Hospital" this week.
An ABC representative has confirmed to Soap Opera Network that Maura West (ex-Carly Snyder, "As The World Turns"; ex-Diane Jenkins, "The Young and the Restless") is joining the cast of "General Hospital" as Ava Jerome. West is scheduled to debut during the week of May 6, which promises viewers will see "tons of exciting things happening that week."
