While fans of NBC's "Days of our Lives" will soon be getting a chance to once again see Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) back on their screens in the coming year, it looks like they'll also be saying goodbye to another beloved character. Actor Greg Vaughan, who has portrayed Eric Brady on the soap since November 2012, will reportedly be exiting the canvas after it was decided to write the character out of Salem.

Actor Matthew Ashford is heading back to the set of NBC's "Days of our Lives" this week, more than three years since his character, Jack Deveraux, perished after saving his daughter, Abigail (Kate Mansi), from a devastating elevator crash during the much hyped August 2012 DAYSaster.
Thursday, December 4 at 3:00 PM, ET/12:00 PM, PT, marks the beginning of Chapter 13 of "The Bay: The Series," the much beloved web series created by Gregori J. Martin. With episodes set to run 20-22 minutes each all throughout the month of December, fans will be able to follow the drama online and through social media using the hashtags #Bayhem and #DecemberBayhem, in addition to the #TheBay. Following the conclusion of Chapter 13, Chapter 14 will debut in mid December.
Exactly 20 years ago today, NBC premiered a sitcom about a circle of friends living in Manhattan. Little did the network know, “Friends” would skyrocket in ratings, becoming one of the most popular sitcoms in television history. The show made David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow, Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston (real-life daughter of “Days of our Lives’” John Aniston [Victor Kiriakis]) household names. But do you remember The One (or rather five) “DAYS” stars that appeared on the Emmy-winning show? Soap Opera Network sure does, so read on for a super sudsy blast from the past!
They can barely admit that they are couple, at least based on the more common definition of what a couple is, but no one can deny that Peter Garrett (Kristos Andrews) and Janice Ramos (Lilly Melgar) have become one of the hottest pairings in recent memory on LANY Entertainment's "The Bay," the widely popular online series created by Gregori J. Martin. Dubbed "Jeter," Soap Opera Network recently spoke with their portrayers on what sets them apart from other couples on the show, why their characters are rootable and where they're heading next. We also asked the duo to share some secrets behind their passionate onscreen love scenes, and of course, if there were any "oops" moments. While getting insight on what fans can expect overall from the newest chapter, set to release tomorrow, May 1, the actors also open up about how being online vs. airing on broadcast/cable television may help or hurt their show.
If you’re ready for more secrets, scandals, passion and romance than ever before, you’re in luck: The Emmy-nominated online soap opera “The Bay” is returning with an all-new Chapter 12 that promises to deliver sudser standards with a serious bang! What’s more, the cast has already begun new installments of the ever-popular pre-launch “Confessions of Bay City,” in which Bay City’s biggest and baddest take the hot seat for jaw-dropping confessions!
TVGN is proving why it's now the "the new way to watch soaps." With the network already picking up encore airing rights to "The Young and the Restless" this past summer, and "The Bold and the Beautiful" earlier this month, the network plans to provide soap fans with even more "soap" for their viewing pleasure courtesy of the new documentary, "Who Shot the Daytime Soap?" Airing Monday, December 16 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, preceded by airings of “B&B” at 6:30 PM ET/PT and “Y&R” at 7:00 PM ET/PT, the documentary tackles the history of daytime soap operas as told by those who were there during the good times, the bad times and the new times.
