Earlier today the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, in cooperation with the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, announced the Drama Performer Pre-Nominations for this year’s Daytime Emmy Awards.
All entrants that submitted this year were judged by their peers via an online ballot. Eligible judges viewed clips containing work of each performer and were required to select their top 10 performer choices. In the case of the Outstanding Lead Actress and Outstanding Supporting Actor categories, there were ties this year that resulted in more than 10 pre-nominees.
The candidates below will now advance to the blue ribbon screening round, which will determine both nominees and recipients. The final nominations will be announced May 1.

It may be super cold in the Northeast (and much of the country) right now, but come Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6, much of the cast of ABC’s “General Hospital” will be heating things up for those in and around Montclair, New Jersey and Boston, Massachusetts.
Produced by Coastal Entertainment Productions, “GH’s” Tyler Christopher (Nikolas) and Laura Wright (Carly) will host co-stars Kristen Alderson (Kiki), Chad Duell (Michael), Kelly Thiebaud (Britt), Bryan Craig (Morgan), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), Maura West (Ava) and Michael Easton (Silas) for the ultimate “GH” Fantasy Weekend. The actors will all be on hand for a star studded afternoon in Montclair on Saturday, April 5 and in Boston on Sunday, April 6 for what is being dubbed the largest soap opera event in the Northeast.
As previously reported, the annual “General Hospital” Fan Club weekend will take place from Thursday, July 31 through Monday, August 4 at the Sportmen’s Lodge Hotel and Events Center in Studio City, CA. Tickets for the Kick Off Cocktail Party, Main Cast and Blast from the Past – Part II events went on sale last week Monday.
Recently, the fan club announced additional events for several “GH” stars including mainstays Rebecca Herbst, Lisa LoCicero, Tyler Christopher, Laura Wright, Kelly Moncao, Kirsten Storms, Jason Thompson and Dominic Zamprogna. Joining the actors this year with their own events will be Michael Easton, Ryan Paevey, Kathleen Gati, and even the return of Karaoke night, now hosted by Sean Blakemore, Marc Anthony Samuel and Parry Shen.
As first reported by Soap Opera Digest, Ilene Kristen (ex-Roxy Balsom, “One Life to Live”) will again be reprising her “Ryan’s Hope” role of Delia Ryan on ABC’s “General Hospital.”
Kristen first re-appeared as the character on two episodes of “GH” back in October 2013. In those episodes, viewers learned that Delia is the mother of Ava Jerome (Maura West) and grandmother of Kiki Jerome (Kristen Alderson).
“I’m Lucas Jones. I’m your son,” says an angered Lucas (Ryan Carnes) when he seemingly confronts his biological daddy this week on “General Hospital.”
According to a promo released by ABC, Lucas returns from a long stay in Seattle on Friday, January 17 and almost immediately confronts Julian Jerome (William deVry) with his true identity after Morgan (Bryan Craig) forcefully questions the mobster on the whereabouts of his mother, who is currently being held captive by crazy Heather Webber (Robin Mattson). Also in the promo is Ava Jerome (Maura West) being warned by daughter Kiki (Kristen Alderson) about hidden secrets, and is Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) pulling a Britt (Kelly Thiebaud)? Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel) seems to think so, and so does Liz (Rebecca Herbst), who eavesdrops on their conversation.
The drama just never stops for Prospect Park’s “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” with the latest shocking news regarding the online sudsers coming from the L.A. Times. According to the publication, Prospect Park is shelving ‘One Life to Live’ until the lawsuit it launched against ABC in April is resolved. Additionally, the company will focus on producing “AMC,” with writers having already started work on scripts for the second season of the show.
ABC’s “General Hospital” is fast becoming the place to be to hopefully find the one it seems as another pair of stars have revealed their real-life relationship status, this time via social media.
Hot on the heels of word that Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) and Brandon Barash (Johnny Zacchara) were an item, and the recent revelation of Kristen Alderson (Kiki Jerome) and Chad Duell (Michael Quartermaine) hooking up, comes word that Bryan Craig (Morgan Corinthos) and Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) are also a couple!
Times, they are a-changin’! Due to a last minute switch in the production schedule over at “General Hospital,” there are some schedule changes taking place for a few of the “GH” Fan Club Weekend events taking place on Friday, July 26.
The Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos) and Kristen Alderson (Kiki Jerome) event has been moved to a later time slot, now taking place from 7PM to 9PM. And the Bryan Craig (Morgan Corinthos), Tequan Richmond (T.J. Ashford) and Jimmy Deshler (Rafe Kovich) event has been moved up to the earlier time of 4PM to 6PM. Meanwhile, Lisa LoCicero’s (Olivia Falconeri) event has been pushed back an hour. Her festivities will now take place from 10AM to 1PM.
As far as we know, none of the other “GH” event times have been affected by the scheduling conflict.
