“One Life to Live” fans had the privilege of literally watching Kristen Alderson grow up via her portrayal of Starr Manning, a role she landed back in 1998. And “General Hospital” fans then had the unique privilege of watching the actress shed the character she’d played for nearly 14 years on OLTL and embody her new character — Kiki Jerome — right before their eyes. The journey has been filled with a lot of ups and downs, but Alderson recently shared with Soap Opera Network that Kiki is finally coming into her own — which she couldn’t be more thrilled about!

In 2013, "The Bold and the Beautiful's" Kim Matula (Hope Logan) and Linsey Godfrey (Caroline Spencer Forrester), "General Hospital's" Kristen Alderson (nominated for her portrayal as Starr Manning), "One Life to Live's" Kelley Missal (Danielle Manning) and "The Young and the Restless'" Hunter King (Summer Newman) proved they were the outstanding younger ladies for their respective daytime dramas. On Sunday, June 22, they now compete with each other to find out which of them was the most Outstanding Younger Actress in a Daytime Drama Series during "The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards."

As is the case for almost all of the awards shows these days, "The 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" will include an online only voting component where fans are given the ability to vote on the first ever Fan Favorite Award.

Beginning Thursday, May 8 and running through Tuesday, May 13, ABC's "General Hospital" will present the 2014 Nurses Ball sponsored by Yoplait Greek Yogurt. ABC.com recently published photos on its website providing viewers with a sneak peek at the event as well as some behind the scenes shots.

Today, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences officially announced the nominees of the 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards! The website is seeking potential backers to help it operate in similar fashion to deal-of-the-day websites such as Living Social and Groupon with deals focused exclusively on products and services for dog owners.
