Chandler Massey Talks ‘DAYS’ Exit

Shortly after winning his second consecutive Daytime Emmy award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series last month, "Days of our Lives" star, Chandler Massey, announced plans to depart the NBC Daytime drama series after portraying the role of Will Horton for the past four years. The actor stated he wants to go back to school and he wouldn't be able to do that while under contract with the soap.

"Eighteen nominations later and here we are," said Ken Corday, executive producer, "Days of our Lives," in an exclusive interview with Soap Opera Network shortly after the NBC Daytime drama series nabbed its first Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award in 35 years in the category of Outstanding Drama Series. The last time the show won in the category was in 1978, per the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

NBC Renews ‘Days of our Lives’ Through September 2014

As expected, NBC has renewed "Days of our Lives" through September 2014. The news comes just days after NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said, “I think ‘DAYS’ is going to stick around,” during NBC's portion of the Television Critics Association winter press tour. “I don’t know that I’m at liberty to say that officially yet, but it’s not going anywhere," Greenblatt added. The "DAYS" renewal was announced today by Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment.
