Hot on the heels of the news that FOX ordered an extra six episodes of its much-buzzed about series, “Gotham,” comes news that the drama series has reversed its recent ratings trend: After weeks of declining numbers, “Gotham” is finally on the rise!

The success of its breakout drama series, “Gotham,” has led FOX to extend the series’ run with an order of six new episodes!Dana Walden and Gary Newman, chairmen and CEOs of Fox Television Group, announced yesterday that they’ve decided to pick up six more episodes of the drama, bringing it to a full 22-episode season. “’Gotham’ debuted as one of the most buzzed-about shows of the fall, and with good reason. Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon have created an incredibly rich world, with characters that draw you in and a cast that brings to life these heroes and villains in a way we’ve never seen before,” said the execs via an official press release. “We are so excited to see where Bruno, Danny and the entire ‘Gotham’ team take this story over the course of this season, and so thankful to all the fans who have embraced it this fall.”

In 2012, Soap Opera Network published our own version of the annual TV Guide Magazine "TV's Highest Paid Stars" issue. Although we were unable to continue our report in 2013 due to circumstances beyond our control, we thought it would be a great opportunity to continue producing the soap opera edition of one of TV Guide's best selling issues with the release of the 2014 edition.

Before meeting with reporters later this morning and advertisers this evening, FOX announced its Fall 2014 primetime schedule that includes a portfolio of new content for the 2014-2015 television season, which join FOX veterans "American Idol," "Animation Domination High-Def," "Bob's Burger," "Boom!," "Bones," "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," "Family Guy," "The Following," "Glee," "Hell's Kitchen," "Hotel Hell," "Masterchef," "Master Junior," "The Mindy Project," "New Girl," "The Simpsons," "Sleepy Hollow" and "So You Think You Can Dance." Each series returns with new seasons airing at various points through 2014-2015.
