(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Both “Days of our Lives” and “General Hospital” have added a writer to their respective staff.
David Kreizman joins the writing staff of “GH” as script writer. Kreizman is the former Co-Head Writer of “All My Children,” “As The World Turns,” and “Guiding Light.”
“DAYS” is adding new blood to its writing staff in hiring Lacey Dyer to write scripts. Dyer was a writers’ assistant for “DAYS” from 2010-2011. In other “DAYS” news, script writer John Newman is exiting the show. Newman rejoined “DAYS” for his second stint as script writer in 2008.
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “General Hospital” continues to make changes on the writing staff.
Script writer Mary Sue Price, who began writing for “GH” in 1999, is leaving the show. Joining “GH” is former “All My Children” script writer Kate Hall. Hall wrote scripts for “AMC” from 2007-2011. She is the daughter of soap writer Courtney Simon and Peter Simon (ex-Ed Bauer, “Guiding Light”).
Script writer Aida Croal, who’s been with “One Life To Live” since 2006, has left the show. She joins the writing staff of “Sanctuary” which airs on Syfy.
(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — On May 18, 2011, Robert Guza Jr. was fired as head writer of “General Hospital” and Garin Wolf was named the new head writer. With Guza leaving, it’s not surprising that his wife, breakdown writer Meg Bennett, was also let go from the show. Breakdown writer David Goldschmid was also fired. Replacing them on the breakdown team will be Shelly Altman, who’s been writing breakdowns for “One Life to Live” for the past 11 years, and current “GH” script writer Tracey Thomson (though she may only be helping out with breakdowns temporarily).
Over at “Days of our Lives” the changes just keep on coming. Ryan Quan who’s been a script writer and writers’ assistant gets promoted to breakdown writer, replacing Michelle Poteet Lisanti. Joining the script writing team is Pete T. Rich.
More changes are expected at both soaps.
