(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — New head writer Josh Griffith makes some changes to “The Young and The Restless” writing staff.

 

Associate head writer/breakdown writer Marla Kanelos has left the show.   Taking her spot on the breakdown team is Lisa Seidman, who returns for her second stint with “Y&R”.   Seidman wrote for the show from July 7 – October 2, 2008, and last worked on “Hollywood Heights” where Griffith was the head writer.    Brent Boyd, another “Hollywood Heights” alum, is the  show’s new script editor replacing Beth Milstein.   This is  Boyd’s first time writing for a daytime drama.   Milstein, who has been “Y&R’s” script editor since 2008, will transition over to writing scripts.

“General Hospital” makes a few changes to the writing staff.

Head Writer Ron Carlivati brings in another writer from his former “One Life To Live” team.  Anna Theresa Cascio joins the “GH” team as a breakdown writer. Leaving the “GH” team is breakdown writer Garin Wolf, who has been with the show since 1997.  Also leaving is breakdown/script writer Tracey Thomson.

Over at “The Young and Restless,” changes were recently made as Josh Griffith takes over as Head Writer from Maria Arena Bell. Co-Head Writer Scott Hamner has also left the show.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) – “Days of our Lives” makes massive changes to its writing staff.

Breakdown writer Victor Gialanella and scripts writers Pete T. Rich, Roger Schroeder, Nancy Williams Watt and Lacey Dyer have been let go – all of them joined under the previous writing regime.    Joining “DAYS” is breakdown Dave Ryan, and scripts writers Melissa Salmons and Janet Iacobuzio.

Over at “The Young and The Restless,” Jeff Beldner has joined as a breakdown writer. Beldner was at “All My Children” (1989 – 1998, 2001- 2011) and “As The World Turns” (1998-2001).

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) – The new writing regime of  Gary Tomlin and Chris Whitesell make their first changes to the “Days of our Lives” writing staff.

As expected, Tomlin’s long time friend, Fran Myers, returns as script editor.  This will be Myers’ 4th stint as the “DAYS” script editor: 1999-2003, August-September 2004, and October 13, 2008 – August 25, 2011.   Jeanne Marie Ford moves from script editor to script writer.

Breakdown writers Lisa Connor and Elizabeth Snyder have exited the show.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) – The “One Life To Live” invasion continues at “General Hospital” as the show makes more changes to its writing staff.

Christopher Van Etten and Jean Passanante are joining “GH” as breakdown writers and Katherine Schock is joining as a script writer.   All of them were part of current “GH” head writer Ron Carlivati‘s writing staff at “OLTL”.

Exiting “GH” are scripts writers David Kreizman, Joanna Cohen, and Nathan Fissell.  Fissell is the latest long time ‘GH’ employee who was given the axe under the new regime.   He started as an intern in 1993 and has done various jobs over the years before finally being promoted to full time script writer last year.   Breakdown writer David Rupel, who joined a couple of months ago, is also leaving.

Over at “Days of our Lives,” newly installed head writer Gary Tomlin has added Lorraine Broderick to his writing staff.

First it was script writer Michele Val Jean who left after 18 years, then script writer Mary Sue Price after 11 years, now it’s breakdown writer Michael Conforti and script writer Susan Wald who are leaving.  Wald has been with “GH” for 10 years and Conforti for 10.5 years.

“Days of our Lives” makes an addition to the writing staff by adding breakdown writer Lisa Connor.

Two former “One Life To Live” script writers Scott Sickles and Elizabeth Page has joined the “GH” writing staff.  Also, joining the “GH” team is David Rupel, who is an executive producer for Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”.  Rupel returns to “GH” where he was a breakdown writer from 1999-2001.  He also wrote for “Guiding Light” in 2002 and from 2006-2009.

Leaving “GH” is Janet Iacobuzio who just rejoined a few months ago.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “Days of our Lives” and “General Hospital” continue to make changes to their writing staffs.

Victor Gialanella is rejoining “DAYS” as a breakdown writer.    He previously wrote for the show from 1995 – 2006, and then again in 2008.

Script writer Janet Iacobuzio was let go from “DAYS” and was snapped up by “GH” to write scripts.  Iacobuzio returns to “GH” where she was Co-Head Writer in 1997 and wrote breakdowns in 1998.  Also joining “GH” is former “All My Children” script writer Joanna Cohen.
