ALL THINGS RELATED

Being that “Days of our Lives’” Marlena Evans is not only one of the most compassionate, understanding and accepting characters in daytime, but also a bona fide psychiatrist, it’s no surprise that people across America wish they could sit down with the character and have her advise on all of life’s most difficult questions and conundrums. That may be impossible (unless one could somehow magically pop into Salem), but Marlena’s alter ego, Deidre Hall, is offering the next best thing: She is currently taking to video to answer fans’ questions on her website!

Since it was first announced that Alison Sweeney would be departing NBC's "Days of our Lives" after more than 22 years portraying Sami Brady on the daytime soap opera, Sweeney has made it clear that she'd always welcome a return visit to Salem when the timing is right. Well, she's back!
She's nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal as Kristen DiMera on NBC's "Days of our Lives," and to celebrate Eileen Davidson will appear on the Thursday, June 19 edition of Hallmark Channel's "Home & Family." During her taped appearance, Davidson talks with hosts Mark Steines and Christina Ferrare about her nomination, her brief return to "DAYS' and recently signing a contract with CBS' "The Young and the Restless," where she's portrayed the popular role of Ashley Abbott off and on since 1982. She also reveals that the length of her contract with "Y&R," which includes the ability to appear on "DAYS" from time to time as well, is for two years. Both soaps are owned and produced by Sony Pictures Television.
Hallmark’s beloved talk show “Home & Family” has featured so many soap star guests, it’s a wonder it’s not up for Outstanding Drama Series in this year’s Daytime Emmy race. With everyone from “Days of our Lives’” Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) to the “Young and the Restless’” Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) and Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) dropping by, it’s pretty much par-for-par with Salem, Port Charles and Genoa City. Though, as former “Entertainment Tonight” personality and current “Home & Family” co-host Mark Steines would tell you, the set is anything but something you’d see on a typical daytime drama.
As previously reported, "Days of our Lives" actress Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) will be co-starring in the new Hallmark Channel original movie "Lucky in Love," premiering tonight at 9:00 PM, ET/8:00 PM, CT. The TV movie stars Jessica Szohr (“Gossip Girl,” “The Internship”) as Mira Simon, a young professional whose April Fool’s Day pranks actually come true and change the course of her life. Hall portray's Erin Billings, Mira's boss and the CEO of Your Page, a one stop shop social media network that encompasses all social media needs (think an all-in-one Twitter/Facebook website) for its users. Also featured is Benjamin Hollingsworth (“The Tomorrow People”) as Mira's friend Jonah.

Hot on the heels of the news that Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman, “The Young and the Restless”) will be appearing on Hallmark’s “Home & Family” on Tuesday, April 1 comes news that two additional soap stars will be dropping by the talk show this week: “Days of our Lives’” Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) and “All My Children’s” J.R. Martinez (ex-Brot Monroe)!

When Ted Corday and Betty Corday watched “Days of our Lives’” NBC debut on November 8, 1965, they couldn’t have known that the soap opera they created would garner so much success. Now, 48 years later, the show not only is coming off of an Outstanding Drama Series win from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, it’s comprised of a talented and close-knit cast who all have very special memories regarding their time with the popular show. Soap Opera Network spoke with a few said castmembers, and in celebration of the show’s 48th anniversary, they were all too happy to share some of their favorite moments from the early days and beyond!
During a recent “Days of our Lives" fan event, actor Drake Hogestyn (John Black) told Soap Opera Network that he’d signed a new contract with the sudser, but that’s not all the actor revealed! He’s got a pretty good idea of upcoming story for his alter ego, and he assured us that loyal viewers just might get exactly what they wish for when it comes to the popular pairing of John and Marlena (Deidre Hall).
On Thursday, October 17, several LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) organizations and individuals celebrated Spirit Day, which asks people to take a stand against bullying and show support for LGBT youth by wearing the color purple. NBC's "Days of our Lives" took a stand and showed its support as cast members donned purple shirts, jackets and even ties.
