It is with great sadness to report that Paul Skipper, a long-time photographer at JPI Studios, died on Tuesday, June 4 (previously incorrectly reported by us as Monday, June 3). While it is unknown at this time what caused Skipper's death, tweets have gone out from several past and present "Days of our Lives" cast/crew members, which is the show Skipper primarily shot for, including one from Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) that read: "Paul Skipper- RIP. No one shot more terrific pictures for our genre." His tweet was responded to by Crystal Chappell (ex-Carly Manning), who said "so very true. Loved his dear heart."

Fans who loved seeing Crystal Chappell (Gina Brogno, “Venice;” ex-Carly Manning, “Days of our Lives;” ex-Olivia Spencer, “Guiding Light”) as Jane in Steve Silverman’s Alfred Hitchcock-inspired series, “The Inn,” are in for quite a treat: The two-time Emmy Award winning actress is reprising the role in the second season of the dark drama!

After months of anticipation, the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards now have a home. HLN (formerly Headline News) has announced that it plans to broadcast the anniversary celebration live from The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday, June 16 from 8:00 - 10:00 PM, ET/PT. This marks the second consecutive year in which HLN has broadcast Daytime TV’s biggest event.

Robert Newman addressed fan inquiries on Facebook earlier today over his possible involvement in either "All My Children" or "One Life to Live," which are essentially filming in his backyard of Stamford, CT. The inquiries were from fans of the cancelled Proctor & Gamble produced soap "Guiding Light," which Newman starred off and on for nearly 30 years as Joshua Lewis.

On Wednesday, August 15, Crystal Chappell (Danielle, "The Bold and the Beautiful") published a new blog post on the "Venice: The Series" website. Her post was in regards to a tweet by former "Days of our Lives" co-star Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton) that caused controversy within the daytime community.

TV Guide's Michael Logan got the first real interview with "Days of our Lives" Co-Executive Producer Greg Meng, just days after the soap fired its head writing team and replaced them with the team of Gary Tomlin and Christopher Whitesell. In the interview, Meng promises some epic firings in the coming months!
